Adam F Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 It's that time of year again - believe it or not JV is 1 year old next month! Anyway Porthcawl (who Ive been with ever since Ive had a boat) sent the renewal through today - but with quite an increase. I checked with Craft Insure who sponsor the site and they came back with a good price, beating Porthcawl. So I called the Porthcawl, told them the situation and they have ammended my rate to actually lower than what I was paying last year.... and beating Craft Insure. I know insurance is a strange business and the proof is when you come to claim, but I'd thought I'd share this with you and recommend Porthcawl yet again. Quote
gaffa Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 I was born only 4 miles from Porthcawl and spent my first 21 years or so fishing the area including the Porthcawl Pier . I must admit that in those days the fishing was superb but has dramatically tailed off like everywhere else in the last 40 or so years But I knew Porthcawl would eventually come good Peteg Quote
bass man Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 hi all just want to find out where the best place for boat insuarance Regards Adam Quote
Coddy Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Hi Adam There are a number of companies that members use from cheap to more expensive! However the thing to remember is how well do the respond when it comes to a claim. I can only speak of Porthcawl as I have been with them since I started owning a boat and (touch wood) never yet had to make a claim but spoken to others who have and they have been fast and efficient.
