Questions have been asked about our competition rules so below is an extract

THE ABOVE COMPETITIONS WILL BE FISHED INSIDE CLUB WATERS

[WEATHER PERMITTING]

AND ARE FISHED FOR OVER ANY SEVEN HOUR PERIOD BETWEEN 0600AND 1800 UNLESS SPECIFIED

THIS IS TO ALLOW MEMBERS TO ADJUST THIER FISHING TIMES TO SUIT TIDES, LAUNCHING ETC.

ALL COMPETITIONS CAN BE FISHED WITH A TOTAL OF THREE HOOKS

[Pennel Rigs and Trebles hooks count as ONE] AND A MAXIMUM OF TWO RODS

[One and two hooks per rod if using two rods].

NO OTHER RODS ARE TO BE IN USE WHILE FISHING THE COMPETITIONS.

No need to kill fish for our comp, just catch it weigh it and report it. Do Remember though that if entering the Dolphins comp you will need to go to the weigh in and have your fish weighed and recorded there.

Hope that clarifies any questions

Posted

Got back from Cornwall last night.

Been looking forward to this for ages !

See you all out there. I hope our club is in the money with the Dolphins open.

Good luck to all.

All - the forecast has degraded, and it might not be nice out there, especially later (i.e. 12 hours after the forecast was issued). Timings are of course approximate, and the stronger winds can come in sooner than this broad indication.

Selsey Bill to Lyme Regis Updated: 0411 on Sun 10 May 2009

Strong winds are forecast

Inshore waters forecast

24 hour forecast: 0700 Sun 10 May 0700 Mon 11 May

Wind East 3 increasing 4 or 5, backing northeast 5 to 7 later.

Sea state Slight becoming moderate.

Weather Fair.

Visibility Good.

Please be aware, and if you have choice over your hours, fishing earlier sounds better.

Hopefully the current Safety Officer is aware.

Thanks for posting that up Mike - fortunatley it held this time - we came in at 4pm and it was still pretty benign with a gentle F2-3 easterly... but it was building. Foreacast for tomorrow is icky!

Cheers anyway.
