pirky
At the meeting on Thurs 04th there was mention of a list of Slipways (all over England if I remember correctly) both public and accessible private (Marinas etc I thought)..........it was said that this info is available on line.....can anyone furnish me with the web address please? I have googled but it only gives individual info I only want the local ones really....Poole, Bournemouth beach, Southbourne, Christchurch, and Mudeford down to Lymington but even small ones ( I have a mate with a 12 ft flat bottom dinghy and we intend to fish inshore so we can slip in almost any where really but proper slip acces is required for the car and trailer. Thanks IA Dave

pirky
Thanks Martin.....this one is pretty limited and only gives the more obvious ones.....there are loads more small ones around even onto the beach with small beach widths to launch over !! Is there a more comprehensive one around or am I dreaming? wishful thinker ? Dave
Adam F
Wick Mudeford Lymington Keyhaven Baiter Rockley Weymouth Town Quay Portland Castletown West Bay Pretty much covers it really. In club waters and keeping local you only really have Baiter Park in Poole, Wick and Mudeford in Christchurch. Adam
Jim
There's Lake Road, Hamworthy. Width and Height restriction. Been a few years since I last used it but it's free. I saw a bloke there years back, had spun his wheels and dug his self in. Best to use a 4 x 4 Jim

Brian
Ah ! Redcliffe Farm, Spent Many years holidaying there. ( Before I was too old to travel ) It is a long journey down river and through the harbour. But very picturesque. Jim Keeping to the speed limit, it's 25 mins to the harbour (1.7nm) and about 45 mins to the Entrance (7nm). One advantage is you finish your trip in fresh water, so everything get a good flush through. And very handy for flounder fishing towards the end of the year. Brian
Dave If the 12ft dinghy isn't too heavy you should be able to launch at Lake Road, Hamworthy by hand. 3 of us used to launch a Gemini inflatable, with 20hp motor there a few years ago by hand, it was a case of getting the balance right so there was no weight on the jockey wheel. Coddy
There is always the slip at Slipway, which is next to the RNLI college. I did put some picture on the forum a few months ago but parking is a no no as yellow lines, could always park at Asda. Coddy
