Well, BASS would give you 8lbs for it @ 71cms but I'll only claim 7.5 lbs from the digi scales. (sadly my bait fell from its mouth before weighing which would have made it over 8 lbs ) Not quite as lean as the 4.5lbers I had a few weeks ago but still not full weight and I don't expect that for a couple of months.
Nice fish all the same.
Gotta watch that fella
Launched my wilson 17 from there a couple of years ago and was had very badly.
I rolled her over the hump with the landy, then unhitched and hand launch. Parked up and went to pay. The b4rst4*d only gave change for a vehicle launch grinning and said 'the vehicle was just a little too far onto the slip for a hand launch.' It was actually only just enough to get the wheels of the trailer over the hump.
My letter of complaint was not answered so should this happen to you just twat 'im into the drink.
Just thought I would tag this on for general interest.
My first bass of the year and also the first on Otter.
2.08kg (4lb 9oz)
60 cm
A thin fish at 84% against the weight/length chart.
Scales taken.
Sunday saw us strike out to find the fisrt bass for Otter and our first attempt this season.
We took the option of an early start to find bait as we anticipated the maccy would be dispersed and sporadic. Not far wrong too, no birds working to give a hint so four or five stops zig-zagging our way to the mark, we were several hours before gathering enough for a proper go at the bass.
There followed a steady day with the occasional bass. nothing big or furious but good action from these lean early fish. Only 4 bass landed and a couple lost to the hard ground but a very satisfying first bass to Otter.
Best fish just 4lb 9 oz job done.

T'was on the TV last night. A university vessel full of students learning about the ocean, off Alaska. I wonder how many changed their course to land management once ashore.
Cracking fish Rupe. Hope there's a few more before the small ones floods the market so to speak. I'll try to beat you to the best bass in May, kind sir,.......
Lest, of course, Al does it again
happy fishing guys.........
I used an simple ring and buoy system on the Wilson for years without a problem but have become more unsighted from the buoy now with the larger craft. I've not had the need to use a coat hanger addition before, but I feel this might help now.
At the risk of seeming a bit
Exactly what do they look like
What dimensions are critical for their function
How are they deployed
How do they function
This one might help a few of us from running over our warp
At the very least an inconvenience but more importantly a serious safety issue.
