Adam one of the great things of having Abode on a trailer, is that on those easterly windy days the sun is out and I have sufficient cider. Out comes the polish I use Autoglym also and ??????( I will find out the name). I use two indicators for this job. One is if by the time I have Abode on the trailer and off the slip she is still wet then she needs polishing. And the other is armed with plenty of cider I wax and polish her until she appears as two!!!!!! this is a problem as it is hard enough looking after one, so at this stage I go to sleep so the time equation is not known? All I can tell you are that I often wake up complete with a sun tan good ha! And one other bit of information which has not been tried yet is DAZ I have been informed by Dave

    Broadband Radar

Hi! All Just a thought as I am not in the financial position to buy one at the moment but the fog thing scares the S**t out of me and the information I can find looks good, the Navico/ Lowrance video on You Tube looks like an excellent bit of kit also the articles that I have read seam to say the same. What do other club members think of the new Broadband Radar and who has the best price on these units? Nigel I think has one on the way lucky bugger?

Thanks Dave for getting me afloat great day. PS the wining fish was 22lb+2nd 21lb 3rd 21lb+4th18+ 5th16+

  20. Where to start, the biggest highlight has to be the purchase of Abode and that first day on the slip at Cobbs and the slow learning curve over the next three years on how to use the boat and fish. Then joining the club and meeting some fantastic people and joining in events on the water( Thanks Tony for the family days Charlie for Portland & Alderney) with your pride and joy it just don
  21. You dont know where to fish, will give you a few pointers if you like I would now duck if I was U

  23. Due to the weather and no access to the caravan i felt that my chances of getting out this weekend were doomed, a quick call to Dave and an offer of a bed for the night and game on. A 7 am start at Cobbs and we were off, out past the chain ferry and east we go down to the car park and pick in rods out and that lovely Jim making the tea, right from the off we had bites, Jim and I keeping the Pout and dog fish a way from Dave so White Magic can get the species required. Banter all day on the radio was great (less of the old Bristolian Mr Chapman ) and the weather just perfect, as this was a team effort Jim and I then let Dave pull the first Cod of 18lb a board Dave also catching some nice whiting for Jim and my supper, as loyal subjects I felt it only right that all the days glory should go to our captain so we let Dave bring the second Cod aboard. No seriously had a great day a great laugh with Jim and Dave and it was just so gooooooooooooood to be out. Tight lines until the next comp. Big thank you too Dave and Sue for putting me up or is that putting up with me.
  24. I will be out on White Magic heading for Poole now
