  1. Hi Charlie Its on the floor next to the anchor well and I kneel on it. It allows me to keep control of the rope easier and allows me to tuck rope into the well because I,m so close to it. Is yours fitted on the bow or side deck?
  2. The foot switch on mine Charlie was already fitted but I find it easier and safer to operate it with my knee. Just the way it works on mine. Glad everything went well.
  3. Nice one Charlie, hope all goes well tomorrow. Thanks for the freezer, pints all round in Alderney for the Chapmans for it. Tight lines.
  4. Great write ups and some interesting thoughts. When I bought my boat there was a down rigger with it that has never been used, if you fancy giving it a go some time give me a pm. With your knowledge I suspect there maybe some fun to be had!! Chris
  5. I have sorted some ice if anyone requires it for the trip. Flaked, I had mine from there last year and still had ice on the way home. Arranged to meet at Greenslade's Thursday early evening with containers / cool boxes and will be £10 for a fill up each. I will let them know how many and of course weather permitting a couple of days beforehand. Hope this helps.
  6. If anyone wants a meeting before the trip we could use the same venue as last year. Tea and biscuits provided. I will also make a call regarding crushed ice. May have a possible source for a large volume just need to speak to the right person. I will get an answer asap and also cost of course.
  7. Ok, if the weather stays kind for you I will be there.

Spent the day polishing today so at least its looks a bit better and has a nice shine! Now hand deep into the pockets to pay for some new bits and pieces!! For some reason no newbies have turned up to get some polishing practice in that I was willing to share! :( Had lots of company and chit chat from Jacob the last couple of days.
