A year to the day, i was catching bass off the surface with my fly rod, not this year PJ

SIFCA has a responsibility to manage fishing activities to prevent potential damage to sensitive site features, including reefs and seagrass. In order to fulfil their duties SIFCA has proposed to manage all towed gear fishing activity through a permitting byelaw. SIFCA anticipates that a permitting byelaw would allow flexible management of towed gear fishing activity to ensure the sustainability of both the fishing community and the marine environment. SIFCA are also considering the introduction of a byelaw to manage all hand-worked fishing activity within seagrass areas. The meetings are designed to be informal drop-in sessions. A short introductory presentation will be made to attendees at regular intervals throughout the evening. All attendees will then be encouraged to engage with Southern IFCA and Natural England representatives to discuss their views and the management possibilities. Stakeholders may attend at any time between the start and end of the meeting and stay for as long as they wish. Meetings will take place between 16.00 and 19.30 on the following dates, at the following locations:
