Powerful fish like this seem to be hooked every winter,I have my suspicions to what they are but wouldn't it be great if a member actually got one to the surface

You didn't miss much today Chris,went out with Mal and Martin and tried of the end of the ledge for an early cod.No smelly pigs just dogs,smoothie, Mal had a red gurnard @1lb5oz,when tide turned had quite a few bream.Then went over to Boscombe pier and joined some charters plus others where I had a tub and Mal had three plaice It was a lovely hot day on the water with great company Nige

My first trip Sunday since repairs,although tide more suited to bass fishing I can't resist trying for an early cod Nige

Leg overhauled,back on,back in the water and tested 😄😄😄 With new propellor it flies 😄......even faster😄😄😄😄

Regardless of various lab tests I find power pro best suited to my fishing,it doesn't dig in to the spool as round profile,tangles are easy to sort,joining to mono is easy and doesn't slip or cut into mono. I'll bring a spool and mono Thursday Nigel

Not heard of batteries splitting Possible causes:-cheap batteries? Sediment shorting out plates when shook about Sea water splashing over battery terminals? Probably none of above but only cause I can think of
