9.30am my boss asks if i want the rest of day off! (he owes me loads) Well didn't argue, rushed home and was on my way to mudeford by 10.15. on way to needles a mark a spot which looked good across to carpark and lower anchor just inside of dawnraider, but i have pj's problem and my anchor wouldn't hold i drifted downtide fishing as i went couple of times it dug in for few mins then off again (this is my fault because i was using spare plough anker and forgot to change back to my bruce and 10mm nylon ) I do get a fish though a 30 to 35lb conga!!! which releases itself as im reaching for my t bar So pull up anchor and move back in to the spot i'd marked Charter boat was fishing near by but able to get within 100ft of MY mark! This was a good move as when tide slackened i had a 14lb COD, then a 4lb Bass then another 14lb Cod then another 14lb Cod had dog and pout inbetween . Stayed till 5.20ish then back to slip in the DARK Oh what fun, can't wait till saturday and will do it all AGAIN Mike (codandcodandcodformeplease!) ps, also had nice size (3,5lb spotted ray)

Needed urgently as some thiefing B#####ds stole from my boat last night both a 22ltr with little petrol a 30ltr almost full and also 2 x 5ltr cans also full. Think thats all they were after as loads of other stuff they could have easily have taken. Still rather concerned they may come back so things are in place to make them wish they hadn't So if anyone has or know's of one or two tanks of any size please let me know. OK rob, i'll explain At times boat would reach 16knts (normally 23/24 loaded up) other times struggled to even get on plain 8/10knots, a couple of times after a drift startup and throttle and engine died completely but restarted no problem. When moving at say 8kt if i trimmed eng up a little it sometimes increased the speed to 10/12kts. Max revs underload 4200 at anytime on sunday, revs freely out of gear! Its not low on OIL, spark plugs are recent and not oiling up at all! I checked the thermostat last week all seemed ok. i'm just about to change impellor as i don't think it pumps as well as it did (just for something to do really ) Well pick the bones out of that for me PLEASE Hope to have answers very soon Cheers mike (wanttogetsortedbynextweekendasitstheopencomp ) PS. Compression in all cylinders are almost as good as new motor!
