    Kin

Kin is normally family, not sure if that helps Or am I being very uncool man.🤣
  2. Weather window for Sunday looks to have worsened, looking iffy for comp. Will check at 6pm
  3. WEATHER UPDATE. The Saturday forecast is not looking good. I think that is a no go. The Sunday forecast is a small window of opportunity . Who is signed up for Saturday??? Who is planning for Sunday??? Could be quite choppy in the swash channel if it goes south easterly as predicted also with a swell from the Saturday.
  4. Mick I think your referring to the percentage above 100%.
  5. Unlikely Jerry as we could postpone till later.
  6. Weather watch has begun for the spring species competition. The low pressure weather system that is dominating at the moment is moving away to the southwest on Friday but it may not be quick enough to salvage our weekend competition. The wind will be ENE and is averaging around the 15mph with gust's to 24mph. This needs to improve to hold the competition. There is still time for some change, let's hope so.
  7. Happy birthday Tony
  8. What are we doing to the planet????? Who discards all this plastic rubbish. If a bit of plastic bait wrapper is blown off my boat I am disgusted with myself. When driving down the road I see youngsters tossing wrappers out of the window of the dads car, why do they think thats ok???
  9. Happy birthday Dean.
  10. See my post on cod comp again.
  11. The competition is cancelled due to an increasing forecast and lack of entrants. The larger boats would have too much of an advantage over the small boats. I think it will be nice early doors if you fancy wetting a line but be prepared to retreat inside the harbour at midday. Sorry everyone. Safety first.
  12. The wind has moved around to the SW, that will be warmer but could increase in speed. Lets hope not.
  13. Happy birthday Martin have a good one😊
  14. Sunday's weather is a small window between high winds before and after. The window could disappear rapidly so keep watching this post. The sea conditions might also be quite rough as there is not much time for the sea to calm down.
  15. Getting back to the facts, the Danish Fleet and several others have been misreporting by up to 1000% on Bycatch, subsides are still being paid to fishers not meeting the regs. One fisher caught 5 times for mis reporting with no sanctions. I know we are no better. The size of fleet and advanced technology they use is factory sized shipping and huge quantities. Ring fence our countries coastline and lets manage our own fleet and not all European fleets. Something went wholesale wrong this year with the Cod stocks, similarly the mackerel in past years. Some one is intercepting them on migration and wiping them out.
  16. Happy Birthday Brian thanks for all your hard work on the committee.
  17. Happy Birthday Ian🎂
  18. Surprise surprise, the Danish Fishing Fleet have been mis reporting their catches and by catches. I wonder if they caught all the Cod coming down the East Coast headed our way.😞
  19. Thanks to Chris for taking on such a long journey, the tide planning and weather checks necessary are very demanding😂. The chilli was superb and very welcome on a chilly day, lots of tea and good company. 4 fish on Kingfisher, 1 weighed in for me 2lb 7oz. 2 fish to Nigel. A well attended weigh in at Cobbs and generally a good vibe. More flounders caught than I expected but still lots of time with no bites.
  20. At the moment the weather is looking good for Sunday and iffy for saturday
  21. Merry christmas to you all from Mal and Laura in Sunny Spain👍
  22. My thoughts are to CANCEL the weather forecast is very iffy even for the Harbour for our smaller craft and it is due to be wet. I think it is worth waiting for a better forecast, also there are a few regulars not able to attend. I am away as of Tonight so one of the committee members will take over from here. Have a good Christmas everyone.
  23. The forecast is not looking good for the Cod Comp again this weekend, we will keep an eye on Mondays weather perhaps coming earlier. It might not be good enought to go out to sea, but it might be suitable for a flounder comp. I know you are all shouting out what about the bait, lets see what comes Thursday and Friday. The club would like to hold the Flounder comp with the Hamper but not at the cost of safety.
  24. Happy Birthday Neal, have a nice Holiday
