Welcome to the club Elliot, you will find the club has a wealth of knowledge, use the site for advice when setting up your boat, the members will be pleased to help. I am the club safety officer and we like to think our members go to sea with the basic requirements like a Vhf license and some power boat training if required, you can also have you boat checked out and advice given on safety equipment you should carry on board. Ask away and we will help, we can book you on the courses mentioned at discounted rates from local trainers. Enjoy your new boat a good choice. Mal Thomas

Welcome to the club, this is a great club. I am the safety officer and its always good to find out your skill levels on a boat ,your skills may be needed in an emergency even though you are going to crew most of the time, you might like to think about a competent crew days training if you feel it might be necessary. The situation may arise when you may need to man the helm and pilot the boat, call for help ect, we have all done this training or similar and always found it valuable. If you think you might like to do this send me a personal message and we will help you. Mal Enjoy your boating and keep safe.
  25. Welcome Steve your in good company in this club, if you require any Safety advice, Vhf radio License or Training please get in touch with me and we will organise help. If you could give us an idea of your seamanship skills we will help where ever we can. Enjoy your boating and be safe rather than sorry. Mal Thomas Safety Officer.
