  1. Not to forget the individual species too Mick??
  2. What did I say about being out with a good friend [emoji848] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Unfortunately, no fish to report aboard Marlin other than the wrong kind (small Bass) Weather conditions tricky with the wind as was predicted but could not fish Sunday due to Father's Day. However, there is something about being out on the water with a good friend who is always willing to get his hands dirty and muck in. Thanks Rob for joining me. I am glad you enjoyed the sausage and bacon sandwich which unfortunately was pretty much the highlight of the day!! And of course it's good to support the club by taking part in the comps when you can. 😀 Greg
  4. Sorry to hear you can’t make it Jerry [emoji853] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. You may not Martin - Looks like full camouflage for that day 😉
  6. Nothing is secret fishing in Poole Harbour Mick😅 However, I am considering taking Marlin's Tender to be incognito!! The only drawback is that Rob's arms will be aching rowing against that stiff incoming morning tide !!!!!! (I haven't told him of that yet 😉)
  7. Marlin will be fishing the comp on Saturday. We know it forecast to be breezy that day, however, we will be restricting ourselves to the safety of Poole Harbour.

    Europe

Oh I wouldn't worry about the Europeans fishing in our waters Rob, since we left the EU both our rivers and seas have become heavily polluted with sewage. I would imagine they would be too glad to stick to their own legislated clean waters !!!
  10. Thank you Mal and Jerry, Let’s hope we can get out on another date. [emoji1696][emoji1696] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Decided at the last minute Friday afternoon to go for a day's fishing on Saturday as the wind and sea state looked favourable. But what I didn't realise was that the temperature was gong to be so cold. I headed for the Patch via the 07.30 bridges out of Cobbs with Bream and other species in mind. The tide was coming towards slack water so the fishing was quite slow mainly small Bream and the odd Ballan. Just before the tide was going to run again I uplifted the anchor and moved a little distance to an old Bream mark. As the tide started to ebb, the larger Bream came on. In fact every drop some nice Bream were coming aboard. All went back alive to fight/breed for another day. As I wanted to up my species I moved to the SRM. No rays but and an LSD and a nice size Smoothound to about 7lb came aboard. I then decided to drift for a Plaice for an hour before going in with no joy but a passing small Bass did oblige. All in all a good day's fishing with 6 species for the day and the a much warmer end of the day too. (Thankfully)
  13. Automatic Identification System. Basically it is the Radar identifying a vessel's name, so when you are in dense fog it can identify what the vessel is called on your radar system. Therefore, allowing you to avoid it and also giving you information on the name of the vessel. I believe that is correct??
  14. Great news Thank you Jerry. I hope to be there [emoji3][emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  25. Poked my head out the Haven this morning and the swell was too high for a day’s fishing. The large boats were turning back in too. Sunday’s sea state is supposed to be moderate. Just a warning lads for tomorrow!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
