  1. Hang on a minute, let me try and understand this:- Reading the above, if I was coming out of cobbs for the 07.30 bridges, Poole Old Town bridge will lift for incoming traffic at 07.30, then close and soon after the Twin Sales will lift. I then go into the basin and then the Twin Sales Bridge closes. Then soon after this Poole Old Town Bridge will Open to let me out...... Have I got this right????? Can anyone help me out here 😬

    JoJo Out West

What great conditions, great photos and a great result. Well done Guys 👍
  3. Happy Birthday Alan I'm sure I saw you in the crowd at the Last Night of the Proms the other evening ??? Hope you have a great day, Greg
  4. Well he is already £10.00 up as he won on the raffle last night!!
  5. I have no problem with it!! It's not like we are talking elite athletes here. One of Brad's friend's at school who was a girl is now called Harry and is now our window cleaner. Back in 2016 I had a contractor who did work for us occasionally, and they sent one of their employees to site who had previously worked on our site in the name of Ian. One day he turned up and his name was Jess!! Full Trans. It's just the way of the world now. Live and let Live I say. Greg. (Peace Man 😇)
  6. Fingers crossed, the beginning of August looking good 🤞
  7. Happy Birthday Neil, Hope you have the day off and not in some loft somewhere sweating your b****ks off installing heating pipes!!! Greg
  8. Happy Birthday Mick Hope you have a good day, Greg
  9. He does not need to do that Charlie because his editing software he uses shows all the sound waves linking in with the film clips. It really is a clever bit of stuff. It is second nature to him now. It only took him a couple of hours to edit the whole day's filming and linking in the music from another web source!!! I have to remind myself at times that he is only 19 yrs old!!, but he has come on in leaps and bounds with this filming lark!!!!
  10. Hi Mal We got him for Christmas the new Go Pro 11 Black. He is saving it's first use for when we go to Antigua this weekend. He is going to do a Vlog on the resort and trips. It will only be then that he will know if that device is any good. This video he did was on the Go Pro 3 I believe. So I will let you know in about three weeks time ?? Cheers, Greg
  11. Good report and pictures, Well done for getting out. Greg
  12. You could always do the course at College, now you have all that free time on your hands Charlie 😀
  13. Belated Happy Birthday wishes from me too Alun, Greg
  14. Unfortunately it is not that simple Charlie, Brad uses Adobe Premiere Pro software (subscription) to do his film editing. This is the type of software professional film makers use. By all means you can ask him about general editing but I'm afraid you would need to be proficient in the use of this software. Brad was taught this stuff when he was on his media production course at Poole College. It is all way above my head Charlie !!!
  15. Sounds good to me. I will have a chat with Brad and see if he is interested. Brad did a two year ual Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology at Poole College for which he achieved a distinction. This catapulted him into University. His ambition is to eventually become a cinematographer. He has developed good skills in both filming and editing. So I think the challenge for Brad to help elevate the club on it's "You Tube" channel would be good for both Brad and the club.
  16. No Jim, Brad is doing a three year BA honours degree course in Film at Bournemouth University. Carol and I am encouraging him to do more filming. We bought him some very expensive Canon Filming equipment last year and he is yet to use it. Basically it is a bit dodgy him going out alone with such expensive equipment so I will be spending some time with him this summer to help him out. We know he has to get his portfolio expanded. He has a fill in job at the the admissions and shop at the Tank Museum for his pocket money, however, he will also be looking to do some volunteering there as they have a film department as well. So it is early days at the moment. A busy lad !!!! Thanks, Greg
  17. Thanks for the vote of confidence Chris 😅🤣 On a serious note, Brad has the New Go Pro 11 Black which he will not use on the boat until he has used it on holiday next week. He tells me it is far superior with better sound quality. So I am looking forward in him giving that a go for a fishing report in the near future. 👍
  18. Hi all. Brad has put together a You Tube of our day out on the June Species Hunt last Sunday. Excuse the sound quality as this was done on an old Go Pro. Brad did not want to take his new one out on the boat. Enjoy. https://youtu.be/plO4OY-Mvng
  19. Effort, you ain't kidding Chris, I had to wake up our film director at one point as he had fallen off to sleep !!! 😏
  20. Well what a great fishing day that was. I was the only person fishing as Brad was doing the go pro and Carol was taking the still photos and galley maid!! (With regards to the photos seems like I was the only one to get the memo!!!) Brad will be compiling a You Tube of the day which will be uploaded to the club's website when done (hopefully) I caught a total of 38 fish on the day (Carol was also fish recorder!!!) However, I only had a total of 8 species. If the day was about catching fish for the table then I would of had a bumper feast. Bass of 3 lbs 46 cm long, 2lb Black Bream and a plump plaice which I did not weigh approx 2 lb ish. However, in the spirit of the day I put all the fish back (including the plaice). (Oh except for the mackerel which were lethal for Tope Bait) Species Caught: Dogfish Black Bream Mackerel Tope Ballan Wrasse Pout Bass Plaice The highlight of the day had to be the Tope out on the Spoil. We were inundated by the Tope probably because of the abundance of Mackerel. Mackerel were caught on every drop. Even my 3 hook feathers were full on one drop. Same with the Tope, they would not leave us alone as I was trying for a Conger and Undulate. I was even catching them on squid. They were feisty buggers but really great sport.
  21. Loobie 1V Jerry - Stuie - J2 Sunday Alfresco, Hope to be out Sat with two friends that are not local, Sunday may be Ben and Dan. I will update which will be comp day My Baby - Dave - Norman Saturday Y Not - Mal + crew and day tba Marlin - Greg with Brad and Carol (non Members) - Sunday Reel Magic + crew and day tba
  22. That makes things fairer Jerry. I must admit the thought of challenging Loobie 1V with three anglers on board and me on my own was a challenge just too far especially with your secret weapon Stuie on board 🤫 Just ordered bait and Marlin will be out Sunday with non members as crew. Also, can you remind me Jerry is the fishing time for the comp still a maximum of 7 hours from the point you put your line into the water? Cheers Greg
  23. So if I read this right it is an individual's members species comp, not a boat species comp?
  24. Marlin will be out depending on weather and sea state conditions. Day to be confirmed nearer the time. Let's hope the weather gods play ball 🤞
