With such few weather windows, a bit of rain wasn’t going to put us off chasing some flatties. After a slow start with some Red and Tub Gurnard and the odd Bream we found some Plaice. Kev joined us on Reel Busy, his fishing wardrobe hasn’t changed since August but he was happy and also supplied us with a full box of tea bags. Thanks Kev, J2 and Dave were cussing the skipper. When the tide was running we had a steady flow of Plaice, Dave outfished us with 2 triple shots and numerous doubles, the rain was continuous all day with little let up but the sea was glass like. We lost count of numbers, mostly small but enough for a couple of keepers each. Cracking day, good company and a fish for tea.

I agree with Graham, when I topped mine up last time it did cause leakage from a small “holding,header” tank for the steering fluid in the engine bay. Presumably overfilled without realising.

Good luck Stuie, I was about today cleaning water filters blocked solid, heads and live well, as your all such a sensitive bunch I will not go into detail, other than to say, do NOT flush the head when the live bait pump is on 🤢 Much more wind than forecast today, managed a mullet in the marina. 😜 Hope the wind drops tomorrow and you find a few Stuie.

Loobie 1V had a wonderful day like everyone else.! The fishing was slow, mackerel, straps, Bream, Brill, Tope,, lsd, and 3 blondes best 12lbs 8oz. Andy had the first fish on the boat and great company, really good turnout of boats and anglers, shame more rays hadn’t heard about it. Doombar to finish the day with the Madness crew, perfect. On this subject. When we were fishing in the harbour last week a small dinghy with outboard was moored 100m away. They were uptide of us so we did not pay a lot of attention to how they were doing. We were catching Bass hand over fist. When the tide turned and we were facing them they departed. Pulling the dinghy up the beach they had various plastic bags which sent our alarm bells ringing. Who should we of contacted IFCA? We know where the boat is and would be easily recognisable without being politically incorrect.
