  1. Congratulations you must be delighted and excited. Glad to see she was christened with the right stuff!!
  2. Hi Max, As per Greg, at Cobbs and seen your boat many times. Welcome to the club, it is a great club, the more you involve yourself the more you get out. Look forward to meeting you. Jerry
  3. That’s not good, glad all ended well.
  4. It is unbelievable. Unfortunately compared with all the other government departments which are in crisis fisheries is very low down. I suppose we just have to keep banging the drum in the vague hope someone will listen. As Martin sayes Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh unfortunately doesn’t make me feel better. Thankyou Stuie for keeping us up to speed.
  5. Sorry I will not make the meeting tomorrow. Still not allowed to drive. Have a good meeting👍👍
  6. Brilliant, well done Brian, you need to have something to while away the hours when we get another windy season😜😜
  7. Thanks for posting that Chris, and well done Dave and everyone else who braved a chilly wind I hear. Happy New year to everyone and hope 2020 is happy, healthy, and wealthy for everyone🥳🥂🥂
  8. Hi Dave, If Colin doesn’t want it I will take it for the little open boat we bought last year. Let me know if it is available, happy new year. Jerry

  10. Re Scheduled Flounder Competition looks like it’s found a great weather window. The competition is in conjunction with PSA and there Open Flounder Boat Competition. PBSBAC club hamper for the best Flounder caught by a club member. PSA prizes as advertised, please order your bait with Andy before 2pm tomorrow to be sure of your order. Weigh in at the Liberal Club between 4-5pm on Sunday, please take the fish in buckets of water to the weigh in unless intended for the table. Please sign in to give Andy an idea of numbers as soon as you can. Sorry not to be with you. Tight lines
  11. Flounder Comp re run 29th December Just a reminder as it’s such a busy time of year that there will hopefully be a chance to run the Flounder Competition on December 29th. Happy Christmas everyone.
  12. Tight lines guys, hope someone might find a Cod? I heard a rumour the mega trawler tried to refuel in Weymouth and was kicked out? Sorry all a bit behind in wet Wiltshire.
  13. Unfortunately with wind averaging 48mph and heavy rain, and no bait available from shops Sundays Flounder competition is cancelled. Andy at PSA has re scheduled his open flounder to 29.12.19. I suggest we support him with this, and hold our flounder comp alongside his, again fingers crossed weather wise, and that people might be able to escape any Christmas, New Year commitments. If you could register any interest in the 29th earlier rather than later then that will obviously help organisation. On the assumption the hamper is not going to go off, I am sure it would be a big bonus for the 29th. Sorry for the cancellation but we cannot do anything about the weather.
  14. Hi Guys, I understand everyone’s worries and concerns regards the weather, ordering bait etc. I would imagine a decision will be made on Friday, and posted early evening. Its a tough one, yesterday gave winds to 47mph at Cobbs today, yet it was very pleasant. Watch this space. Jerry
  15. Done, well done Stuie for bringing this forward 👍👍
  16. Well done Steve, smile says it all👍
  17. Annual Flounder Competition 15th December The usual rules and conditions apply to the competition, and this year Andy from Poole Sea Angling has an open flounder comp on the same day. This like the Cod competition means members can fish both competitions, signing in at PSA as per the picture. Reminder to follow nearer the time.
  18. Cod competition results. PBSBAC club results 1st Steve Scott 11lbs Cod 2nd Andy Garrett 10lbs Cod Poole Sea Angling Centre Competition results 1st Pete Richardson Codling 5lbs 15oz non club member 2nd Colin Whitehead (whiting) 2lbs 13.5oz 31 entries 11 private boats 1 charter boat Well done Colin, lovely Whiting. PSA second Cod Competition has been cancelled, Andy is running a Flounder Competition in conjunction with ours in December details to follow. A wonderful day to be at sea, congratulations to all who took part especially the winners. Many great stories including a club boat landing a 150lbs guesstimate Porbeagle. Hopefully the full story of this will follow.
  19. The weather window was too good to miss. Two friends both fishermen but more trout than sea, had moaned that I hadn’t invited them. The tides did NOT do what they were supposed to, first mark produced some various and a 18lbs 2oz Blonde which a small underrated game keeper struggled to land on his Carp gear🤣🤣🥴🥴. We moved to another bank which produced a few Whiting, I spoke with Alun who had found a few fish and very generously gave us a few Rag, unfortunately the spotties had gone off the feed. We had a few more Whiting and a Thornback around 8lbs, after a couple more moves it was time to get the 4.30 bridge lift. Fun dry day, few fish, but none of the target species. Feel sure they will appear on Sunday. Great turnout for the Cod comp, well done everyone getting out there.👍👍👍
  20. Happy belated Terry, hope dinner was good😜
  21. Were you on hourly rate or a job price Lofty, looks like a lot of reading🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  22. Two Codling in the harbour, few in double figures off Chesil, got to be in it to win it😜😜
  23. Weather forecast excellent, a hopeful trip looking for a Cod. Myself, Dave,Norman and Chris as a mediator left for the 9.30 bridge. Weather forecast being correct we soon got out to our first mark. First drop I had a double header of Rays which was a first, Dave followed with an Undulate and Norman kept his end up with a doggy! Sorry about the hose incident Chris and Norman, you both needed a wash anyway😜🙈. A few more bits and pieces before Norman hit the jackpot with a Smalleyed Ray, new species. With slack water we moved offshore and found an interesting feature that was “sure “ to hold Cod🤔. We had Congers, Pout, Black Bream, Doggies action from the start. After an hour a huge splash 50m away, right next to the boat and a Thesher was on the hunt. After putting out a whole Mackerel with no response from the Thresher, the fishing had stopped like a light switch so a move required. Another bank found and because we hadn’t had a bite in 5 minutes the skipper obviously had no idea. Norman peaked with a double header of Spotted Ray and a Brill for tea, a few more Bream caught, we let Dave catch the better ones for some tea, even if he did drop the best one back in🤣🤣🤣 Back In for the 4.30 lift in beautiful conditions, seeing Marichelle by the Old town bridge. It was a stunning day and the banter was really excellent, thanks for all your crewing boys and let’s hope the Cod join us next time.
  24. I have been using Majorcraft for lure work and have to say they are excellent. Not cheap but also not silly. Happy hunting.
