Hooky, I am a shy timid creature that has never taken the piss out of anyone, I will however try and learn the art prior to coming aboard. Humour is another thing that I struggle with but I will try this as well. I will watch the Labour comedy duo of Blair and Brown, they really knew how to take the piss and their economic policies were hilarious. Cheers Ian Tony, Alan and I are available and I would like to take you up on the crew once we see what Hooky comes up with. Latte de Frappe in the flask on standby. Cheers Ian

I have a week off work and see that the wind is forecast to ease Wednesday and Thursday. Is anyone planning a day out that can offer places to Alan Winterbottom and I, will cover fuel and bait as necessary. Here's hoping. Ian

Hello Greg, is a Latte response some form of cafe culture reply to a forum post or a limp wristed reply from a man whom enjoys too much milk in his coffee? No offence is meant by this post and some of my previous boyfriends were limp wristed. Cheers Ian -
Great day on the water and normal banter (PC for piss taking), I learned how to properly net a specimen Smooth hound, watch Neal losing Stuie's specimen - then do the opposite. Curry and a beer at Cobbs was really appreciated and it was good to see loads from the club. Thank you Neal for taking us out again, but if you had re-considered classifying the Mako's properly we could have done better than fourth: still find it hard to accept they were doggies.

Good result Mike, congratulations

I use the Albright knot but this looks to be worth a go and appears to do away Ruth the need to leave a short tag end.

A good sword and a trusty hand! A merry heart and true! King James's men shall understand What Cornish lads can do! And have they fixed the where and when? And shall Trelawny die? Here's twenty thousand Cornish men Will know the reason why! Happy Birthday Charlie

Would have taken you up on the offer Stuie but I am taking Cerrie to a Hotel Spa for our wedding anniversary. Enjoy your trip out. Ian

Have a great day and I will raise a glass to you both this evening, tomorrow lunch and tomorrow evening: we will see what happens on Sunday.

Many happy returns, enjoy the day Chris. Ian

Gentlemen please be kind, Cerrie is the least violent person in the world but silence is very painful. Conjiugal rights are also more important than witty banter on a fishing forum and I doubt that Martin wants to share a bed with me!!

It would be impossible to eradicate all dragons, if you get rid of one another takes her place (plaice for fishing puns). It is better to train your dragon and this is where a good ale comes to the fore, it adds strength, courage and wisdom but only during the afternoon and evening. In the morning you will be back to normal and probably weaker, this is when the dragon is at her strongest so beware: at this point it is best to go fishing. At this point I must say that the first Mrs Simpson was a true dragon, whereas, the current Mrs Simpson is the complete opposite.

To all the English club members Happy St Georges Day, have a pint of ale and a bacon sandwhich or pie. If celebrating please don't let any Guardian readers see you or it may be classed as an ultra-nationalists uprising. The non-english can also celebrate as we show great support for St Paddy's. Also Happy Birthday Mr Shakespeare, you were a reasonable playwright but will always be remebered for the Ugly Stik range of rods. Cheers Ian

I would like to crew for somebody as my boat is only suited to within the harbour. Neal is also available and we make a decent double act as well as reasonable ballast.

Hello Chris, Welcome to the club and soon, the area. There are lots of good areas to live in and around Poole and the places to buy will depend on family (kids?), work, size of house and access to town/coast/country. Let me know what your after and I can give some advice, you can blame me when it goes tits up later. We moved back from NZ at the end of 2010 and so I looked for somewhere just outside town, I can't be too far from sheep (calm down Charlie). Cheers Ian
