  1. In addition to the list, the phrase "of course you can go" means - I will be spending an equal amount on my hair, nails and facial plus an extra amount on shopping for clothes.
  2. Happy Birthday Neal, missed it yesterday but it will give you something to moan about. Cheers Ian
  3. Really glad some of you got out and caught Cod. I do feel sorry for you having such freedom, it must get boring, whereas, I had the joy of taking the kids to birthday parties and shopping at Lidl in order to prepare a Sunday Lunch that was sprung upon me. All while Cerrie was away. When I grow a set of balls things will change (if she doesn't mind that is). Ian
  4. A bit late but hope you had a good birthday Mal. Regards Ian
  5. Having now met Will I have to agree on his suitability, but don't tell him.
  6. We have 3 or 4 in the Arvor 21s, I do the bookings direct with the fishing camps and airlines, it saves a few quid.
  7. The spare place (plaice) for the Norway trip has been taken up, welcome aboard Will. Cheers Ian
  8. I bet your the life and Sole of any party, a Dab of aftershave and off you go, no Plaice would ever Flounder with you. Ah the joys of sh*t puns.
  9. That fell flat
  10. This is the fifth year of going and we haven't really had to depend on the tides to be honest. Certain areas do produce better with a bit of flow but there are so many fishy spots and species, it has never been an issue. Enjoy Skjervoy, it is a good set up.
  11. I have arranged a trip for 12 people to Hansnes, 1 hour north of Tromso Norway starting 31st August for 7 nights. Unfortunately a friend has had to drop out due to surgery and so I have a space available. We will be picked up 05:00 from Lulworth Avenue, Hamworthy on 31st for a 09:20 flight from Gatwick. the return flight lands 19:35 on the 7th Sept and we get picked up at the terminal. The holiday has been paid for and it would be good to recoup some (or all) of the £787 which covers everything less food and boat fuel. Any payments can be spread throughout the next 6 months if necessary. Fishing is from an Arvor 21 and is superb, I need someone that enjoys a bit of banter or is just happy to sit back and listen to stories. Please let me know if you are interested and I can give more details. Cheers Ian
  12. Cheers Mate, Norway would have to be over-run by communist, gay, halitosis ridden, Somali, Guardian reading dwarves for me not too enjoy it.
  13. Thanks once again Sam, the drive to Cardiff started at 04:45 on Monday and that days training finished at 18:30, I laughed when I was told there was about 2 hours homework. Ian
  14. Sam and Charlie, thank you both for an excellent day out, the girls were couldn't stop talking about the day (second half) and Mum was given a full briefing from them. Great boat, good company and bacon sandwiches to boot, I still can't believe that 3 ex-military men managed to keep the language and stories in check. Thanks again and the girls are looking forward to the BBQ/prize giving, I unfortunately will be scratching for fish in Norway. Regards Ian
  15. You're a very naughty Megrim.

Jim, I second your rant, I may manage to fit in a few hours in the harbour Saturday morning before the wind picks up. Ian
  17. OK Sam Speak soon
  18. Hello Sam, Jayden, Emma and Amy are fishing on Alfresco and I will be going along (cheers Charlie) to look after them and drown a few worms when the girls take a break. We are in Somerset up until the Saturday 8th but will be checking the forums for updates. Really looking forward to the day. Ian and the girls
  19. Alan (Chillybum) and I took Pug out for a day within the harbour drowning worms and feeding the crabs. Landed several baby bass, wrasse and a gorgeous Bream from different spots. Waved and said hello to Brian, and with Alan in the boat, I managed to meet the pre-requisite of 2 pensioners from the club on the water during a week day. Great to be on the water on such a mild day and it's now less than 15 years until retirement. Ian
  20. When in Norway some target the Halibut every day of the 6/7 days of fishing, I and many others target all species and sizes. It is the lure of guaranteed fish, outstanding scenery, different locations, fishing buddies, malt whisky (from UK), no distractions and constant fishing talk that you can't get at home. The Alderney trip and Oban provide the same draw, I wouldn't target the huge Skate at the expense of other species, but it would be interesting to see one. Ian
  21. Hooky I would still like to join you on your esteemed boat, I was merely pimping myself when Tony provided further opportunities. Wednesday is the best day for me as Cerrie has managed to arrange more meetings than George Michael in a public toilet.
  22. I organise the trips direct myself, it cuts the costs a bit. Keep me in mind and I will start doing some lower back strengthening exercises for the Skate.
  23. I did look at this a while ago but didn't follow up on it. I am off to Norway in September this year but may be interested in 2016. Cheers Ian
  24. Hello Terry, Please have a box of tissues handy as the following diatribe will make all but an absolute Marxist cry. I had booked a week off to catch up on a few household chores and enjoy a day or two fishing, boat owners and weather permitting. Two very kind offers and the nice BBC weather lady had lifted my spirits and all was set for a spot of fishing and daytime use of PBSBAC forums during pensioners hours. The current Mrs Simpson has just gone through her diary with me and shattered my plans, I am now restricted to Wednesday only unless I can arrange school pick ups by some Latvian street preformer that needs to earn cash for a residence visa, or other kindly sole. Please don't take away the right to go on the club site during working/pensioners hours, we get f@ck all chance to relax even when on holiday. I am planning on being a celibate gay in my next relationship, no sex but loads of rugby and fishing without any stress. May even get some nice curtains and fashion sense. P.S only joking on the gay thing, tried it a few times and it bloody hurt. Ian
