  1. A big thank you to Mr Chairman for a good day out. Tony was placed 2nd and I came 6th ( I would have caught bigger but did not wish to upset such a high ranking club official). I am just recovering from being classed as an also ran by Stuie for not being in the top 3. My therapist believes I will recover if I put the £30 prize voucher toward a new reel. Cheers Ian
  2. Does anyone have space for a crew member on the 27th, weather permitting. I can provide bait, crap jokes and debate on the US presidential election if required.
  3. Best wishes Alfie
  4. Please have the Fire Brigade on standby if they put candles on the cake and light them outdoors. Have a great day, I know you know how to enjoy them as you've had that many. All the best, Ian & Cerrie.
  5. Do the chinese buy their tackle from UK websites?

Agree with most of the points, but I worry that a condom "protects a bunch of dicks", I used to wash mine out and use it again several times but would never let anyone else use it.
  7. Hello Stuie, I have been distracted with that work thing, I couldn't get to the meeting last night as I was delayed in Epsom and then the M25, and then the M3, and then the M27 and then the A31. I will endeavour to add comments to the site as often as possible and may even get to fish a bit if my administration days coincide with favourable weather (chances of that?).
  8. If I lower my ar@e into the water and let out a series of soft rumbling farts, will this attract Cod. It doesn't seem to work on adult female humans but male adults and kids seem to gain great joy from the experience. Not to be tried after a night on Doombar and curry.
  9. It would have been hard to see the 18 inch sharp end of the spear protruding from the fish, it's not the kind of thing you expect when spearfishing - if you're a tw@t!
  10. Outstanding event(s) and a big thanks from the girls to Chris and Blake for having them aboard and from all four of us to Carol and Greg for hosting. Thank you also for the committee input and prize donations. I believe that Chris and I deserved a prize as we behaved like children on Alderney, I will have a pink tackle box please! All the best, The Simpsons
  11. Dragged the girls out of bed as they are still in holiday mode and met Chris at Cobbs for 8:30. Transit was a little windy and we picked up a bouy at the far end of the jet ski area. We caught the square root of f@ck all and stowed the kids in the cabin every squall. Around 10:30ish Chris decided to try a drift opposite the Brownsea Island Castle and the kids started to catch a lot of fish on each drift. Emma, Amy and Blake caught Pollack, Black Bream, Gilt Head Bream, Pout, Bass, Red Mullet, Smoothies and Plaice between them. What started as a quiet day turned into a very enjoyable one. Thank you to Chris for hosting us and to Greg for organising the day. Seeing the girls jumping up and down shouting "I got one, I got one" and "I got a shark" makes you appreciate what days like this are all about. I like to win at everything I do, but today did make me appreciate the tree hugging term "It's the taking part that counts" although the girls better catch a few more species in a fortnight else they won't be allowed to see my photos from next weeks Norway trip, that'll teach em. Cheers Ian
  12. Girls are really excited about the comp, thanks for your hard work Greg and to the boat skippers that are volunteering to have that ankle biters aboard. Chris W, are we still allowed to swear and tell stories about gay dwarf porn & giraffe sex?
  13. I meant 11th Sept but beer has f@cked my motor neurone skills.
  14. Greg, Chris et al, we are still looking forward to the 28th Aug and 111th September, the family holiday is 23rd July to 6th Aug and I will not have access to internet over this period so any updates will be read on return. Looking forward to the event and trying out my new speedo's. Ian

    England Team

Wrong Brian, the lads in your photo have personality. I think people were expecting too much of England, they need more of an incentive to play a sport, only being paid £180k - 200k a week and then relying on the supposed "honour" of representing your country is obviously not enough. Bunch of Koontz.
  16. Well in Paul and good on Lofty for going along. Ian
  17. I think it is the chain ferry, been there for years.
  18. Hope the day went well, but you wouldn't remember at your age anyway.
  19. What a tw@t, I now understand that if I read an advert in full I will get the full info including price. These will be safety undergarments if I am allowed back to Alderney: keep the paparazzi at bay. Sorry I didn't call Dave, I have been out at a country fare looking at cows, dogs and arts & crafts, hooray. I will take the waders and see you Thursday at the meeting if you're going.
  20. How much do you want Coddy? I would like to take a look.
  21. I hope you had a great day Sam, I was in Brighton on the pop yesterday and so the wishes are belated. P.S. Thats twice I have been to Brighton and still no anal love: perhaps I'm not as pretty as I thought.
  22. That is a shit joke Brian.
  23. SO....what's the latest update of which boats are going...and when?? Tigerfish is doing Alderney....Sat to Mon... Kingfisher - Alderney Fri to Mon (answered on behalf of Chris as I just spoke to him)
  24. Have a great trip and enjoy the poisson et frites.
