Just received a call from Chris to say that Kingfisher will set off around 07:00 on Friday unless the W word turns worse.

I have accepted an invitation to join Chris on Kingfisher for the trip, luckily he doesn't snore. I will be buying some tracing paper and crayons for the trip so as we can do some brass rubbing in the historic churches over there. Please let me know if you are interested, better than going to a pub in the evening perhaps. Cheers Ian

Thank you for the birthday wishes Gentlemen, I did partake in several beers and single malt plus the obligatory cake (with clotted cream on the side Jim). Nice array of presents with a 2 piece Penn Rampage 12-20 boat rod thrown in: nice rod but it has made me want the 20-30 to go with it. Just need some decent bloody weather now.

Lucky you didn't take the advice I was given "take the train" this would have been ridiculous if drunk as I have never even driven one sober. To think that there was a government backed campaign to take a train years ago.
