I don't know if you downloaded the Installation manul from Nauticus USA website but on page 4 it show's an anode next to the actuator and me being me I would put one on each trim as it don't take long for the salt to go to work. I noticed you had asked them but did not see any reply did you get one??? Reg

Hi all. It's loch linnhe where we go. which leads out on to the sound of mull it's only about 5-10 mins steamingl. the lodge we normally stop at is usally used by divers as they like to play on the wrecks. there is one road in same one out. a few houses two bar's a post office and that's it. you have to cook your own grub which ain't a hardship as there is no cafe's. you won't need waders as we are stright into deep water and you can be picked up from the jetty. no need to bring any weights so that will keep the baggage down. terminal tackle we can sort you out with so don't bother with that. the divers lodge is not a bad place it's clean and warm. just bring plenty of beer money in case we get blown off. I will let Adam know the price of the lodge as soon as I can contact them. In answer to your e-mail Adam we have not been able to get off since before xmas and it still look's like we ain't going this weekend AGAIN. Rich we ain't that far up the country just look's a long way on the map. Reg

Mike It is a with 495 but it got abrevated to withy up here. It seems they are very poplar in scotland as I think Mr Wills takes a lot of his boats up there. I did not have mine foam filled as it put's a fair bit of extra weight on but as for launch and recovering Its light enough for one man to manage on his own. The only drawback I find is that the gunnels are a bit low but that might be me having long legs" You really want hand rails all round for safety. But apart from that I can't fault them. Reg

I have a withy 495 which is very light and I can launch her myself no problem She hold's the sea well as I have been cought out once or twice. I have a 30hp johnson which will give you 18 knots Does tend to slam a bit when you give it the gun only trouble is anymore than two onboard you are well cramped. Reg

I have checked the nema wiring with a meter and they check out ok I am at home doing this and have the pod on a broomshank out of the window it is picking up 5 sat's. There is no antenna fixed to the radio would this make a differance. as the antenna is fixed to the boat which is a mile away in a yard Reg

I carry both fixed and hand held as you can leave the fixed on ch 16 and talk to your mates on the h/h also if you have the h/h in a waterproof case and you are unlucky enough to go o/b you still have some means of contact. that's what we do up here Reg
