  1. Basically if you use the IMG button, you can include an image that is held elsewhere on the web. So what I did was upload some photos to the PBSBAC photo gallery. Then browse to the image you want, and as Martin says this can be the 'preview' of the image, rather than the full screen one (if the full screen one is massive it makes the forum post a bit cumbersome.) Then 'right-click' on the image to get the url. Copy the url and then you can paste it into the pop-up box that appears when you click on the image button. You should then get the image in the post, and you can put in more than one- you can only do one per post with the 'file attachments' method.
  2. And another recomendation for Sam Trickett- he spent a lot of time and showed a high level of commitment to his customers in sorting out a very confusing electronic fault on my Johnson 50hp. C.
  3. I'll have to make my apologies as well I'm afraid- will be away on a course from the 8th for 2 weeks. C.
  4. Yep, point taken. Perhaps a it's a lesson in How Not To Do It then!
  5. Have you got room/patience for a novice?
  6. Aha! Dunnit! BTW, those are my new boat name stickers- Cool eh?!
  7. Thanks Martin When I use the IMG button it only seems to insert the text, and not the image- could be something to do with the fact that my computer is running Vista and Windoes LiveOneCare- will have to check it out. I was trying to work out how Duncan manages to insert those big photos...

  9. I've unexpectedly found myself with a free day tomorrow. Is anyone out?
  10. Good news at last! Won't be long now Adam, and you'll be back out on the water.
  11. Yeah, yeah, I guess I invited that you funny bu66er... Do you mean Charlie? Could I have a look at the next meeting Adam? To see if it fits? Don't worry, I won't spit in it until I've paid for it! C.
  12. Exactly what I want one for! Will go up there and see if they have anything that will accomodate my proboscis...
  13. Cheers guys. Looking for a mask, but due to the striking features on my face (big nosed git) I find most masks to be uncomfortable after short time and tend to leak under my nose... So looking for a decent dive shop that might have oen that fits properly.

    Dive Shop

Can someone reccomend one of the above in Poole please? C.
  15. Thanks for the info Gents. With the velocity that this circlip took off, I think I'd better spread a 5m tarp out next time!
  16. I'm not currently an individual member of the NFSA. However, I've read the document and Option 3 makes the most sense to me as a prospective member. Now I'm conquering the seasickness and have a vague idea of what to do with the tackle I own, I'll send a cheque as soon as a decision is made- The loss of a body such as this would be a heavy blow indeed.
  17. Been meaning to ask this since last weekend but keep forgetting. On the Saturday before the Lure comp, I decided, as one of those "5 Minute Jobs" to swap the small handle that is standard on a 6000 for a 'power handle' that I sourced from that auction site. It was a sunny day so I (stupidly) decided to sit out on the patio. Anyway, long story short, there is now a small spring circlip somewhere on my patio that should be attached to my reel! Please can someone tell me where I can get a replacement, and what I need to ask for? Ta, C.
  18. Watched from the clifftop and as always was awesome. Well done guys. If I was a bad guy cowering behind some sandbags somewhere with that lot on the warpath I think I would be very unlikely to stick my head up! Let alone get in my antiquated combat fighter and get up in the blue for a dogfight! And lets face it, that's what the Red Arrows are for- to display our Air Superiority in a Peaceful Manner. If another car came as close to me on the motorway as those guys are to each other in the air, it would definitely be brown undies time! Not bad at all for a bunch of Ruperts! And those idiots commenting about carbon footprints are probably the same ones who were calling anglers 'barbaric' on the thresher story, and who are probably disgusted at the prospect of next year's air show and the

    Hello

Boots travel sickness pills work well! Drink plenty of water while you're out and try to eat something. Ginger biscuits are good. I think the only thing you can do is persevere. I get steadier with every trip out.
  22. Put me on the list please. (One of Neal's 2 members) C.
  23. Re what this chap did to a wahoo that he's caught! Rum story
  24. It struck me that I hadn't added my two penneth to this! Yep, what Neal said! Apart from catching some fish, it was a 100% learning curve for me as my first comp, going to new marks and catching new species. I'd like to say I'm very grateful for the instruction, the comfortable transportation and the hospitality. If any other newbies are shying away from comps due to how they view their own level of knowledge and experience, then swallow your concerns and hitch a ride with these guys or one of the other experts and you won't go far wrong. C. P.S Yes Tom & Sam, I did keep my lunch down...
  25. I'd go along with that. I've got some fishing tackle but barely a clue as to what to do with it. I've got a boat but barely a clue as to where to take it. Willing to support the competitions too but haven't joined in so far not so much because I don't think I have a chance in winning, I'm not really the competitive type anyway, more that I don't want to be a drain on someone elses time who maybe does have a chance in winning!
