  1. I am planning to be out on JoJo with Rob Francis
  2. Will do my best to get out, would be a crime not to with the least windy day in about 2 months forecast. I'm on a Stag Day on Sat though so doubt it will be an early launch!
  3. Welcome Ewen You recently helped me with a part for an old Jarvis Walker reel and I sang your praises on here.
  4. Happy Birthday!
  5. Good to hear from you Sam. Enjoy your time at Raleigh, have fun with the firefighting and stopping leaks! Keep your kit straight and your head down- play the grey man! C.
  6. So thats why travel rods and tele rods are increasingly popular!
  7. Planning to be out on Star Turn with Rob Francis... meteorological conditions permitting...

  9. Sorry I'm late... Happy Birthday!
  10. Sorry, I was away on hols for this one.
  11. Times have changed though. There are published dates as to when the ranges will be open to the public (i.e no firing), but if the Army decides more practice is required then the ranges might be used. All MOD ranges are in use far more often these days- always check! "Information about the range walks can be obtained from the Range Control Office (0900-1630 hrs Mon-Fri and during the weekends when the ranges walks are closed), Tel: 01929 462721 ext 4819/4859; or from the Guard room at any time, Tel: 01929 462721 ext 4824. " "Offshore the sea danger area extends up to six nautical miles offshore between Lulworth Cove and St. Aldhelm's (St. Alban's) Head. Vessels are asked to keep out of the area at firing times. Full details can be found in the leaflet The Lulworth Ranges - Information for Mariners 2006"
  12. Sorry to hear about your troubles Messrs Burt, but well done for setting such a good example in dealing with the situation in such a calm and collected manner. As many have said before, it's all in the preparation. C.
  13. Well, 75hp Opti Mariner fitted this year with 5 year warranty. Not a 4 stroke and kept on a trailer but I'll let you know how I get on. Assuming I can get the bloody boat in the water that is!
  14. Oh yeah, that's right, rub it in!
  15. Thanks guys! Sadly no fishing, spent the day at work, but I did manage to spend an hour or so in the sunshine in O'Neils beer garden today! C.
  16. To wake up before my boy, I'd have to get up before I went to bed!
  17. Hi All Are any of you chaps experienced with the above? I'm not bad with a spanner, but I was brought up on petrol rather than oil burners. My Pajero seems to think that seeing as it generally travels the highways and byways at a snail's pace then it needs to leave a slippery trail behind it. I think I need to have a go at sorting it out!
  18. I'll see what I can do!
  19. Off to Jersey next Thursday, so if anyone has any more gen to add, then feel free to do so!
  20. I'd have thought Adam, being the fit young lad that he is, would have perfected the sprint and breach, dolphin-style, and land straight on deck! (Probably with a bass in each hand)
  21. Welcome to "Adulthood" Sam! Now for your next milestone... Retirement!
  22. I was looking at this just the other day. Trickett Marine, and in Poole. The same family or not? I meant to ask Sam but forgot.
  23. Hi Alun I do, not sure how convenient for you to collect though? PM'd you. C.
  24. Hey Dom, does that lady come round every birthday? Many Happy Returns!
  25. I have galvanised shackles on galvanised anchor and the shackles have really rusted out. Not sure if they were just cheap sh1te? I was actually thinking of swapping them for SS. Is the consensus on this Yay or Nay?
