Trevor, No need to feel gutted for me. I am in no mad rush to sell but it is purely because I get so little time to use her. I figure I might as well go on Manta Ray when I get the opportunity. Mind you - sole fishing on Tues - hopefully see her off in style

I got an outside socket and new fuse box fitted by Mick ( sparky ) who is a club member. Top job would thoroughly recommend.

Have you checked you havent got a crack in one of your rod rings ? Like Adam I have always used 30lb braid and never had a problem

I intend to fish 2 days on different boats. I presume this is allowed ? ( I recall it being ok in the past ) Similarly, different crew was allowed in the past. Is this still the case ?

Hopefully you should have up to 8MB upload ability now. There is a limit to the total size of everything you upload. I have increased this

I will have to check the manufacturers plate for the age. I think she is around 8 years old. Planning to take her out when the weather improves, if you are interested in looking over her. Other Orkney 520's on Boats and Outboards seem to be going for up to £8,500, so I think around £2,500 - £3,000 for tidying her up is a good deal

John, Been considering selling Neo due to the lack of time to get out on her at the moment and the need to maintain her ( and not having the time I used to ). She has a 40 HP ETEC which has been fully serviced and service is due this year ( it is every 3 years ). Engine is 6 years old and I have had from new. Only fault with the engine is the Tacho has stopped working. Have fitted a stainless prop and Smarttabs plus an auxiliary engine mounting bracket Trailer brakes need doing ( although she is light enough to not need a braked trailer ) and bearings ( sealed for life .... ) etc. could do with a service. - wheels are a bit rusty. Trailer is around 6 years old too and I bought from Bramber. A few chips in the hull worst is where the roller has chipped the fibreglass on the bottom of the hull. Bait well pump at rear works fine. Bilge Pump need replacing Battery switch and 2 batteries - one of which is not holding charge so well. Teleflex steering cable replaced 3 years ago Navionics GPS ( colour ) Garmin GPS and echo sounder ( cabling to this has an intermittent connection, could do with terminal cleaner etc. - but I think I have priced her to allow this to be replaced. ) Bruce Anchor Delta Anchor VHF DSC radio Lights Seats replaced with higher backed ones - Rivets on seat box could do with replacing. Has the extra rails fitted. - The one on the helmsman side needs the screw replacing in the middle. Very economical - I get circa 2 miles per litre. I will price her to take into account the work that needs doing.( as above ). but think around £5,000 - £6000 ish.
