Just received a Tapatalk notification that JimBob has "liked" one of my posts, so notifications working. If they are too intrusive you can disable them in the tapatalk settings

I am now trying to setup "Push notifications". You can disable / enable these on the IPhone within the Settings -> Notifications area and under the Tapatalk application. Hopefully the one I am about to send from their website will reach everyone. NOTE: I will also be disabling Guest access to the forum using Tapatalk. Access will be possible for Registered forum users and club members for the time being and may be restricted to club members only.

£4,500 is a really good price. I was considering selling Neo but going to get a tow bar and hopefully use her a bit more this year

James, I go to Castletown and it is a short steam to the banks. Basically you come out in middle of Portland Harbour and in 5 mins you are at the Hood then ( for you would be circa 15 mins to the shambles ) The slipway is steep and narrow and at low tide it doesn't reach the water, but I launched Neo with no problem on 4 or 5 occasions now. Beware - Don't make the mistake I did with a rear wheel drive BMW where I had to get towed out off the sand it looks compact but isnt !! ... and the tide comes in fast there.. There is parking by the side of the slipway in the car park that the divers use ( by the hotel there ).- not sure exact price, something like £8.00 ish but I could be wrong. Last time I went, we roped out the trailer to get it onto the concrete part of the slip. It is Alun J's favourite launching place I believe. PS: If you want crew or buddy boat and I can get day off ......

A day, I was going to ask you as have seen this problem before. Did you upload both at same time ? What should happen is the image gets uploaded and then the gallery will create a medium and small image. It appears that it has timed out as no medium or thumbnails exist.

Jamie, I missed this. We have no problem with hosting the images on here. In fact, looking to upgrade the server to a VPS so we will have even more storage. By hosting on here we get to be able to control access to the pics etc. as opposed to being at the mercy of tapatalk etc.

Glad it's all sorted. I was wondering how you researched this as it certainly does NOT attach itself to iOS 6 and it is definitely not some sort of embedded code. Still, got there in the end.

Subtle difference. Your images are uploaded to photobucket and the URL is to the photobucket site. Nothing wrong with that but the image is not on this site The images uploaded by nigel were uploaded to this site ( in the forum ), so are hosted by this site and are displayed in the post as an attachment - the thumbnail for the attachment is generated by this site and was a bit small, so I have increased its size and it just so happens it fits perfectly on the mobile skin now as well. Still, good to know there is more than one way of getting images on here. What would be good is if we can upload to the gallery directly via some fancy app and thanks for all this testing. Just need to persuade Lofty that this site isn't what has broken his proboards etc. !

It is the settings I have made. Enables the images to fit nicely on a phone screen Clicking on the image will show full size BTW : Fixed the problem showing old images which were linked to the old forum

I have noted though that the Tapatalk app won't display the embedded you tube videos. The mobile skin does, so that is best to use for viewing forum and Tapatalk adds ability to upload pictures.

Puzzled. Do you no longer have Tapatalk installed ? Is the problem going from Facebook to view utube videos ? What do you mean "has conflict with Tapatalk" ? I can use either safari or Tapatalk, I haven't seen any option to make something open in tapatalk, it just opens in whatever app I chose to use. You will have to show me what is happening at the club meeting as I can't see what would cause the issues you are seeing. On the forum here, all I have done is install the Tapatalk hook which allows Tapatalk to communicate with the forum. There is also a script in the header which will give a message to state that Tapatalk is available for use. This is shown once and a cookie is then saved to the browser to prevent asking every time. Regarding Tapatalk preventing use of photo bucket. Puzzled. There is an issue I have created because all the traffic to forums now comes here, but this shouldn't stop photo bucket working. What is the exact symptoms ?

I can make the allowable upload size bigger. Problem then is we had images timing out when the conversion routines shrink them. This was leaving them partly processed. I will increase allowable size and see how we go. Ok now 3MB

Lofty, Do you mean it gives you a message that there is an app available etc. ? It should only ask once and will only keep doing this if you refuse to store cookies from the site. The part that has foo bared the image code I think is the change I made to redirect all the traffic to "forums" to this URL. I will have to fix this somehow. ( ie it is not necessarily Tapatalk that did that ) At the moment any urls in posts which include emoticons from the old forum will fail. Everything else's seems ok, so puzzled what the exact problem is.

You will need to delete your cookies and/or cache If you still have issues I could take off the redirect and you will be able to log off from the old site. If you need instructions let me know. Btw had exactly this same problem on my laptop. Cleared cache and cookies and all was well.

Agree. The mobile skin I love. I am working on resizing the YouTube videos so they fit in the skin. Looks real professional. Rob, the skin is the way to read the forum. Bin their app or if you must use an app, use Tapatalk. As for vbulletin, imagine the support issues we would have. Clicking the wrong button would be the least of your worries !!

All Tapatalk offers that IPB mobile skin doesnt is 1) Image Attaching directly from the Tapatalk App. 2) Notifications The IP Buddy App is not very good. Agreed. However, the IPB mobile skin is the way to go. Does everything that App does but to post images you need to use the full skin or TapaTalk. If you dont intend posting images from your phone then I would just use the Mobile skin
