    Trim Tabs

Gordon, Do you think the tab will be OK when launched at Lymington and bent aorund 90 degrees after hitting the bottom I guess in composite you will have to be more careful of doing such things, since I have managed to straighten my stainless ones out twice now due to 2 mishaps ( one when setting up my new trailor )
  6. 12 September 2007 Christchurch Harbour speeding offence leads to fine A Bournemouth man has been fined for travelling in excess of twenty knots in a speedboat in Christchurch Harbour, where the speed limit is four knots. Nicholas David Kelly from Springbourne, who is currently resident in Guys Marsh prison, pleaded guilty by post and was fined
  7. Martin, I sent a similar one to my local MP - Christopher Chope. I was pleasantly surprised to not only receive a reply but to also find he is writing to the minister responsible. Much more of this and I might even vote for him
  8. That means you are more than welcome to fish with me Les.
  9. Still crewless, so one more needed ( assuming Gordon hasn't already found crew )
  10. Exactly my thoughts as well !! However, exceptions were made when the byelaw was first made, so existing registered commerical vessels could carry on fishing in the zones until they were either sold or moved port. Either way a charter boat of 10m carrying 12 anglers is going to catch exactly the same number of fish as a charter boat of 13m carrying 12 anglers and even then most fish are returned. I would almost guarantee that the trawler we see sweeping across Poole Bay is taking far more fish in one trawl than all the charter boats put together for the day.
  11. Ditto here :- Happy to crew for you Gordon. Of if we can get 2 people who wish to fish then I will take Neo as well. Post here if you want to crew. ( Weather dependant of course )
  12. All the best James, probably explains why you weren't at work today I guess
  13. Thinking about this more closely, it is quite ludicrous. One trawler fishing inside the 6 mile limit ( and there is actually a clause to allow this to happen with boats over 12m as well ) will do far more damage to the fish stocks than all the charter boats put together. Of that I am certain.
  14. Fishing Focus - Issue 7 Well worth a read.
  15. Dom ( or anyone else for that matter ) Will be out from around 6:30 PM and intend to fish until midnight ( ish ). Any buddy boat will be greatly appreciated.
  16. Terry, I have been informed that this is NOT the case.
  17. Dom, Sorry, I've got crew now. What is the exact problem with the trailor ?
  18. Story On Live Now
  19. Looking at the weather and an evening trip / night fish looks on the cards for Saturday night. All I need is some crew and possibly a buddy boat. Any takers ? ( Note : Happy to take anyone of all competence levels ! )

  25. Whilst happy to take the plaudits for arranging, I was not one of the organisers. Our trip east on Nipper found fishing hard, so I opted to sit and watch Mark catch most of the fish, although I lost a huge mackeral as I tried to swing it in We had Bream, Dogfish, Mackeral, Bass, Small Eyed Ray, Tope ( of which I had tope and mackeral ! ) Good company though and thank god we didn't stay much longer after the weigh in as I almost couldn't reach Nipper as the tide had come in somewhat.
