Was on the TV yesterday 500lb Thresher Good to see that it was released.

Planning on having a go at fishing Sunday's Lure comp and also doing some general fishing whilst out there ( once I get fed up of trying to catch some fish on a lure ! ). All I need now is some crew. Probably go for a Lymington launch and try around the Needles area before fishing the banks. Anyone fancy a trip out ?

Dom, I would suggest that the RF Power transistor might be fried. Probably was used when you had half an aerial ! You need to find some radio ham person on here with some radio test equipment otherwise will probably be cheaper to buy another one

Glad you got out OK. I thought someone had stolen your boat when I saw you by the side of the road on my way home ! Your bearing did look a bit duff when you pulled off as well. Amrose trailers will sort you out.

What happens if you caught up on a pot buoy ? How does the drogue work - do you have it attached to the stern cleat ?

Gordon, Good tips there. I used to have a lid on my tank but have now lost two overboard. So another tip is to secure lid to the tank

Still crewless - Sunday looks to be the day as out on Saturday night and besides the weather looking OK for Sunday. Surely someone wants to go fishing ? Probably go Smoothhound fishing and attempt to nab a stingray.
