Local area for me guys.........Parking could be pricey though. If you can arrange to get there early, launch the boats and park around the corner in the bays o/s private houses beyond the boozer. We park up there when we fish on the Police monthly day out.........never been unlucky with a parking spot. Rich PS Crew anyone

BB...When the tide is running, try using a general three hook paternoster type rig, snoods of about 12" like Bob says, I use a size 2 hook on the ledge, and use squid strips. When slack water comes, I change to a two or three hook rig below the weight, again size 2 hooks. Coupled with a decent load of groundbait, you should be bagging up, my best male last year went 4lb 4oz's, my PB. A family friend slings over boiled long grain rice soaked in fish oils, loose fed like maggots, and he swears by it!! Never tried it meeself!! Paul, I'm pleased that you got out, and glad Mike was good company!!!!!! (No I'm not jolly jeal.................much anyways!!!!) On the grounbait front, a cheap and less smelly way of storing groundbait, is to buy the mackeral and herring CHUNKS cat food in tins. Pop the easy open lid, mix with a bit of bran, pop into the expensively patented carrier bag bait dropper, and hey presto!!!!! Lads...........I noticed on the trailaway section that you were scratching for larger launce in numbers..............I do wine runs for the cellar across to France about every six weeks.......we are due to go shortly. Now is the time for their launce, and the supermarkets flog em very cheap.............I buy a few kilos to freeze down...........does anyone want any on my next trip??? Not being an expert on the subject, but reading other forums, my understanding is that the larger the hen fish, the larger percentile bodyweight of eggs is laid, there fore the larger fish are our best bet for stock maintenance............and............I havent got a pan big enough for a fillet from a double!!!!!!!!! Right guys............there are some slips farther down the coastline from Dartmouth, and you can steam straight onto the Banks for fishing. Depending on boat size...what sizes are going, and what draught of water is needed for launch/recovery?? I'll phone a mate in Kingsbridge who can advise on better parking facilities.............Dartmouth WILL be an absolute nightmare!!! Check on the Chart I gave to bob.............. Regards......Rich

Charlie...........we were due out yesterday, (Tues), but strong winds kept us at home. A blonde of 35lb was taken on the banks off the back of the Island, over the weekend, weighed photgraphed and returned, so the big blondes are back in town!!!!! Shame it wasnt to me!!!!!!! Regards.......Rich
