Cracking photographer..............I mean fish Charlie Rich

Unfortunately, due to the antics of some Knight of the Road, I wont be attending. This clown smashed into the rear end of percival, giving him a rather large dent, and an even bigger dent in this blokes pride! With the inevitable whiplash that ensues these rear end shunts, I'm going to back out, as I dont think that the "Bobbing up and down like this" motion will do the back any good. Debs bought a sack full of bait for us too, sinfull!!!!! Have a great day, will call Bob F with the marks I was given for smoothies, I'm not really envious! Regards, Rich
-
Cheers for the call Charlie.............sorry that you didnt get out. Maybe next week??? Rich And as for Mr F..................

Ok Adam, will bring Percival pick up, and a decent winch strop etc, but I doubt it will be needed. As its a Bank Holliday weekend, parking might be atrocious, so early is the order of the day guys. I will try and be over there around 0645hrs, and park across two bays, so at least Adam gets a space!!!! Are we stopping for an ale after play ceases??? S'nice boozer there on the quay! See you all Saturday chaps, Regards, Rich

Re. the hard backs, they work just as well as peelers and hermits for the smoothies in the Solent, so don't waste too much dosh buying up expensive baits. Unfortunately, I'm on the river today, no hardbacks there!!! Will bell my pal over in Marchwood and get him to nip over to magazine lane to grab a bucketfull for us. See you guys on Sat. Regards, Rich

Adam, am I still ok for me to crew for you??????? Ta, Rich

We fished comps in the plymoputh shore league, and any fish hoked in the mouth region, were counted, as they were deemed to have been after the bait, all others were deemed foulhooked. I have no idea where these rules came from. Just to muddy the water! Rich

Jim..............if you need crew...........I could be the last straw!!! Chers chap, Rich

Paul..................simplest solution re trailer weight......wang over over to your nearest RMC gravel extraction plant, there will be one nearby, and ask if you can weigh the trailer on their weigh bridge for a donation to their tea swindle. They can only say no. Failing that, phone up your local Traffic Police office, and ask them when they are doing weight checks next, as you need to know that you are not breaking the law re. trail weight. Then, if you are subsequently pulled, and found to be overweight, at least you can prove you have asked to be tested. As a final solution.........................guestimation!!!! Cheers chap, Rich

Cheers coddy.............if the manufacturers balance is adjusted by adding/subtracting weight, I suppose they dont want to know if the jockey fails to guide??? Rich
-
Mikey..................reminds of an awfull joke!!! My dog's got no nose! How does he smell then????? Awfull Regards..............Rich
-
All those available to crew take one step forward! Me Sir! Regards, Rich

Coddy, is it bulky up inside the trailer assembly????? Rich

Mike..............I boil up the rice for a bit untill its not quite cooked, then mash up fresh herrings, sardines, mackeral, any oily fish. Then I mix them all up, and wang it all in a plastic container, (with tight fitting lid!), and hey presto! groundbait that is bright in the water, smaelly in the water, and hopefully doesn't gorge the shoal too much. It sinks well too! During the bream comp, I adapted a Blue Tit bird peanut feeder with a plastic lid, and filled it up with groundbait, lowered it down before we had tackled up, and by the time we started fishing, the bream were under the boat................................However, you could try one of Deliahs recipes!!!!! Cheers chap, Rich

Nice one chap......... Rich

Charlie........thanks for the evening out, thouroughly enjoyable. Sorry about the delay.............you know how it is when work gets in the way!!!!! At least I'm getting the hang of using the net now! Great fish, by the way, nice to see it go back, and of course, a PB Tope...............even if it was collected on your rod This week sometime???????? Will cook up some lead to replace the lost tackle! Cheers again Charlie, regards............... Rich

Coddy............surely if you are following routine maintenance as laid down in their literature, and they have negleted to include details re. change of impeller, or cam belts, then you have followed their direction!!!!! They should be culperable in civil law if they have failed to have taken reasonable steps to include this in their literature?? Its just a matter of the cost getting it either to court or polite legal letters? Will ask a very learned friend from Farrers in London Regards, Rich
-
Charlie, I might be able to squeeze in a few hours thurs eve!!! Are you hoping for smothies???? Rich
-
Adam, what size rod are you using?? My gear is a weight 7-8, and the line is a 7 weight forward. Sandeel imitations are very heavy flies - this can pose problems casting with lighter rods. What do you think? Rich
-
Adam, whats the score on booking, deposit secures???? Whack me on the list for 2005 - that bass could go 16lb's by then!!!!! Cheers Rich
