I was going out for some whiting..but it was a lot more bumpy/windy than forecast....so came in and used up some worms in Christchurch harbour. Where are all the flounders ??...only managed three. Bit of a swell running over the Bar...made for a challenging out / in. Glad I came in early as it got bigger later... I watched one one the commercials coming in about 3.30.....coming in through surf...a big breaker hit it side on! If it had been anything other than a cat, it could have gone over ! Just to add to confusion.......... Sun's forecast looks very similar to today's. I went out about 7.30 expecting calm and wind to increase around coffee time. Well it was all different ! A fresh E to NE at first....but sea state was slight. Wind gradually went more E to SE and faded away to lovely gentle conditions...and wam !! Alun.

If calm, I could bring Gastro over to join the party......but as above if Adam needs crew.
