  1. Mark Congratulations on reaching the big 40 Happy birthday matey and I trust you and your family are still enjoying NZ Martin
  2. Didn't recognise you....lucky for you Martin
  3. Dean and I were due to go out early doors on Saturday but after a phone call from a customer on Friday I had to work for an hour or so sat first thing. What made things worse was the job was on a roof at sandbanks overlooking a dead flat harbour. How I managed to stay long enough to finish the job beats me, still the money was welcome Eventually got to the boat at around 10am and departed through the harbour at 20 knots (so good without speed limits). First port of call was off of Peveril for macky. Managed a few but was definitely not worth hanging around for so off we go to a favoured ray mark. Stayed there for a few hours and had a few small rays and scrappy bits. Eventually got fed up so headed over to Dolphin sand and again had small rays and tope along with other tiddly bits.. Decided to pack up at around 4pm and cruise back again at 20 knots but not quite as comfortable as earlier in the day but still ok. Not the most exciting of days but nice to be out on the water again. Martin
  4. The John Dory boats are superb and similar if not the same as the Fisheagle of which there is one for sale on this site. IMHO both well worth a look The Pirate also looks to be a well thought out bit of kit, kinda wish I was looking for a new boat at the mo with all that choice about. Martin
  5. Charlie Dean and I will be out on Saturday. Not sure what were doing but will shout you am Martin

  10. Terry as keeper of the moulds Rob takes his task very seriously he probably doesn't think anything of the sorts about you but I on the other hand will count them Martin
  11. I have moulds at my house. Assuming no one else is on the waiting list and its ok with Rob you could collect from me Martin
  12. Jon With your budget and criteria I would be looking either an Alaska 500, Hardy 17 fisherman, Shetland family 4 or 535 sunstrip, Wilson flyer 17, Task Force 550, Pilot 17 (not the type you were looking at see the last link in my post). http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/view/JFF283 http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/view/PAA12860 http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/view/PAA3102 http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/view/PAA11809 These links are not recommendations as I have not seen the boats in the flesh but might give you an idea of what to look for Hope this helps Martin

    YES

The first time out since the club open, don't care about the weather we gotta go. Anyone else out? If you are give us a shout on 6 Martin
  14. Hi Jon The Plymouth pilots are good little boats with loads of space but they don't go to quickly. 6 to 8 knots will be the max you will get. That in itself is not a problem if you are happy fishing well inshore but wouldn't be any good for going further afield. On the plus side you could probably run the boat all day long on 10-15 litres of diesel Martin
  15. Wow what a stonkin plaice, well done Martin
  16. I am thinking of having some minor repairs and other adjustments done to my Bimini wheel house/covers Does anyone know anyone who would undertake these works? if so a number would be good Thanks in advance Martin

  22. Dean and I are going to Southampton International Boat Show on Sunday. Will look at all the fishing type boats but my main reason for going this year (I go every year lol) is to look at radar and associated electronics Are you going? if so when and what for? Martin BTW if you do go have a good stress less day
  23. Sorry to hear of your troubles. I would hold the boatyard responsible and try to claim on their insurance. I have used Martin Cobb for repairs on my boats he is first class and based in Poole. I would think he travels to Christchurch as it isn't more than 20 mins away on a bad day. His number is 07860200220 Martin
  24. Phone them and find out but I paid about
  25. But I know where I would rather be
