  1. Many happy returns Dommy you young wipper snapper you Have a great fishy week-end Martin
  2. No such thing but experience and time spent afloat will certainly help, rod hours equals tuition/experience. I have not much advice to give on Christchurch ledge other than watch where others are fishing and watch where the pots are, both good giveaways Martin
  3. Carrying on from Dans post commercial potters don't take to kindly to peeps tying up to their pot lines for obvious reasons. You may think it does not matter but beware it does to them and their boats are bigger than yours Martin

  13. Well done Alun looks like you are in the driving seat. And well done Graham for returning such a nice Bass never mind I'll get it next week BTW why not join the club proper? it doesn't cost a lot and the benefits are great. Charlie Annear, Dean and myself went out on Awol today. Fished both the club and Poole Dolphins open but not so lucky in either I'm afraid First drop for me and a small male bream that got me thinking yesss were in for a good day but not so good, a very slow day largest bream going to Dean at 2lb 9oz with me catching one at 2lb 7oz. Lost a few that felt decent fish but we will never know how big All in all a very pleasurable day afloat and I'm glad the weather held off to leave us in pleasant sunshine and bearable winds. Good to hear that PBSBAC had a good showing in the Poole Dolphins open comp results even if Awol didn't get on the score sheet plus a special mention for Jackie the only female scorer and a member of PBSBAC ....well done girl Martin
  14. Questions have been asked about our competition rules so below is an extract No need to kill fish for our comp, just catch it weigh it and report it. Do Remember though that if entering the Dolphins comp you will need to go to the weigh in and have your fish weighed and recorded there. Hope that clarifies any questions Martin
  15. Don't forget to enter the Dolphins open Bream comp tomorrow as well. You can fish both comps at the same time See you out there Martin

  22. My final post in this thread to say that we are very pleased with the new engine After 20 hours of running in the engine is performing beautifully. My thanks to Mermaid Marine for getting us sorted in time for Alderney my only regret being I wish we had got to the end a little quicker. Also thanks to Brian and the team at Poole Marine Service for being so very accomodating with fitting in with our last minute timings. And thanks to all of you for your support and advice Martin
  23. Several people have asked the question how do I embed full size photos in a post. Hopefully the following post will help you do that. To upload full size photos on this site you must first store your images on a hosting website. This can be Photobucket or similar or you can start your own gallery on this site by clicking the photo gallery button above and following the instructions there. After you have started your new topic and you get to the point where you want your picture to appear click on the IMG button above and to the left of the posting box. A new window will appear, in here you will need to put the URL (address) of your photo then click ok To find the URL of a picture open your picture in a new window or tab. Click on your photo to open it, right click the photo, a new box will open, click on properties for yet another new box to appear, highlight the URL (address) then copy it into your open IMG box, click ok and it should now be implanted in your post If when you click on the IMG button you get a message like Error! You must enter a URL click ok then on the error message bar above select the option Temporarily allow scripted window now reselect the IMG button and continue as above If you have any further questions either post here, PM or phone me Martin
