  6. Jim, about time you woke up I posted this in march lol
  7. Nah just spinning a line
  8. They look neater than my attempts lol
  9. Just googled oem and you have one of the most expensive turbos on the planet (flash git) With that all in mind I think in your position I would try the cheaper option...................maybe?
  10. Wow that's an obscene amount of money when the chinks can do it for a third of the money, what about oem exchange do they do em
  11. Have you tried Turbo Dynamics for a price Neil?
  12. ? what's a cod?
  13. If you have the engine manufacturer, year, model and horsepower i would think you could find find the turbo details from that as I don't believe marine engines have many variables due to low production runs
  14. All the best both, hope you had a great day
  15. Call Martin Cobb (07860200220) or some other glass fibre guru. They can make invisible repairs unlike my attempts. Even if you did a good job on the glassing colour matching is an art
  16. Dean and I decided to take advantage of the small tides last weekend and make for the offshore bass marks & wrecks First stop was at Brownsea Castle to stock up on livelies, after half an hour we decided that wasn't going to work so off we went to see if we could get some mackerel. First drift at our chosen banker mark off Swanage saw us getting as many joey's as we needed in quick order. Bait sorted we then sped off to our bass mark some 18 miles offshore. Half a dozen drifts and zilch, nobody at home other than Tope which bit off our light lines and cuttlefish that ate the head off of every other bait we sent down (kept one cuttle for home) Moving on we went to several wrecks non of which gave up anything to write home about. Our tally for the day was several jumbo pout, red gurnard, one solitary 6/8lb pollock a couple of tope and cuttlefish. We ended up closer to Portland than Poole and some 20 odd miles offshore covering around 80 or so miles in total for not a lot. Lessons learned are that wrecks don't fish that well on mean neaps and that we need to invest in new rods as our current line up of aging equipment no longer seem to work......................well at least that's our excuse to go shopping
  17. Great report Charlie you certainly had a better day than Dean and I. Would you mind if I move this into the open forum where the named skipper would have a chance of seeing your praise? No problem if you would rather not.
  18. All the best Allan, hope you've had a great birthday
  19. Well done Charlie, they certainly go don't they
  20. That is a thing of beauty, wishing you many happy fishy hours aboard her. Where is that dry stack?
  21. Don't put so much rope in the locker as that is what probably causes bunching. You need space for the rope to fall into the locker and not form a little mountain under the windlass, we have the same issue. Multiplat is the best for coiling but expensive, Nylon is decent and what we currently have, poly is cheap and that's for a reason
  22. I wondered where you have been
  23. Allan you just twist the jet attachment. Also I need to call in and collect the reel, are you in Tuesday pm?
