  1. Paul Thanks for your efforts maintaining the site, much appreciated. A special thanks to everyone else for just using it, thats what its for so keep visiting and keep posting. The more you use it the more we can justify funding it. Martin
  2. Rich If you would like to come out with Dean and I you are most welcome. I will see you Thursday at the meeting if you make if not will phone friday Martin
  3. Have you all emailed you totals to charlie either on the correct form or via the report your catch link in the mebers section on the main site? It saves Charlie having to sort through all the postings Cheers Martin
  4. Adam The idea of Rich above re: deck wash is a good way of keeping the eels/mackerel alive (if you can get em) you also have the benefit of being able to clean the boat as you make a mess. Thats the kind of thing on Maverick you are welcome to take a look if you like Martin
  5. Maverick went out of Poole with myself and Dean aboard. Bob H thought better of it and spent the day with Wendy. I was getting to the point at one stage where I thought I might just as well stayed home with Veronica. The weather was not to kind, we were being thrown all over the place. Any ways Dean and I plodded on and tried many venues including swanage bay, Peveril, Durslston Bay, Durlston Head, Swanage pierish, Ballard, The end of hook sands and finally brownsea (or should it have been bouncy) castle. Struggled all day but I ended up with a final tally of 4 mackerel 3 pollock 4 wrasse 1 Plaice Dean will post his later but not quite as many as me Enjoyed the day but looking forward to an improvemnt in the weather Martin
  6. Dave/Paul Sounds like we may have a trip. Tides are great for launch and retreive. We can decide on venue later in the week, any other trailers/members fancy it? Paul you could do the boat check at the same time all I need to do is get crew for Maverick any takers? Dave I will email you the members list or do you already have it? let me know Martin
  7. Nice one Paul sounds like you had a reasonable day Well done Martin
  8. Dave We have two committee members who normally carry out the boat checks (are you available PJ or PR). I also believe any committee member is permitted to give your boat the once over and I for one would be available if the others are busy. It would be good to meet you so I look forward to that weather permitting. If you wanted to go from Poole I could also take out my boat on saturday and would be pleased to show you a few marks. I also may need crew as I am not sure if my son Dean is working or not. If you prefer to go from Weymouth I may also be able to launch there but am not that well up on marks out of there (help Peter or Billy?) I quite fancy a trip outa Weymouth myself for a change. Let us know your timings and preferences and we can work a trip out from there Martin
  9. Well just looked at the weather and can confirm its rubbish. Bob has decided not to come so if anyone needs a ride out they are welcome to fish with Dean and myself. Any takers phone me or post here tonight Martin
  10. The comp will be fished whatever the weather even if it means fishing in a harbour. I will definately be out so see whoever braves it out there Martin
  11. Guys here is an edited version of an email I have just received can we help him? What is the availability of moorings in marinas and swinging? Quote Sorry to trouble you, but I am moving house from London to Parkstone next month. I own a Hardy Pilot (20 foot) fast fisher which is currently moored at Ramsgate Marina (Kent). Obviously I will be looking to relocate my boat to the Dorset area but I am having trouble in locating Marinas or moorings in which you don't have to arrange a second mortgage to pay for the fees. tim.white557@btopenworld.com Thanks a lot Tim White Unquote
  12. Billy Look Here I have also emailed you a score sheet. Martin

  15. James Thats what I call conservation minded Martin
  16. Adam For towing your boat sounds like the Rav4 would do the job. It would certainly be legal you just have to decide wether it will cope up hills etc especially on those longer journey's I would go along with Bobs view that five door gives you more options. Martin
  17. Hi Paul Sounds like they were fishing an area called Southbourne Rough. Can at time be brilliant there for Bream although I havent tried it yet this year. Must get out more Martin
  18. Kim Brilliant, don't you just luv it when a plan comes together Martin
  19. Dave When you come down here make sure you wear your short trousers as most of us have long pockets with short arms It would be useful if a club member could actually reach his money Looks like I might be in for some stick at the next meeting then Martin
  20. James Those hook type things on the post outside of the window, are they your rod rests? Martin
