Tony Charlie and myself are taking the boats up to Weymouth from the 19th August until Sunday 23rd. The idea is simple, we take the wives they do girly things in the day and we go fishing for some of the time. Evenings we meet up and either cook and revel on the boats or go ashore to find a decent eatery. Long range forecast says the weather is looking doable so it looks like were set to go. If this is something that interests you and you want to join us for a day or two or indeed the whole weekend then post your intent here.

Young girl walks into a supermarket and on her way round she sees the bloke with whom she had relationships with the previous evening, after they met in a pub. He is stacking washing powder boxes on shelves. "You lying toad!" she yells. "Last night you told me you were a stunt pilot!" "No," he says, "I told you I was a member of the Ariel display team."

On the way back in on sunday we picked up a rope around a prop. Boat shuddered for a moment then carried on. I throttled back to see a rope trailing behind us. Tried forward then reverse but couldn't shift it. Had both ends of the rope and tried unravelling then pulling one way then the other but couldn't budge it. Eventually decided to cut as short as possible and make our way in which went ok with no apparent problem. Now the question is would you have the boat lifted to check if the rope has gone or if any damage has been done to the shaft/prop or any other suggestions gratefully received By the way the boat has twin shafts so grounding is not for me an option

Quiet day on Madness today (well fishing wise) Dan Macey Phoebe and libby all had mackerel 4 3 3 3. Dan also had an average dogfish with macey having a sand smelt and small (very small) bream. Went in the harbour early as both Macey and Anthony were ill
