  3. They were certainly in Poole harbour when I was 14/15 (1969/70) in large numbers. I had my best ever flounder session with my old fella in his Poole Canoe catching flounders using only slipper limpet we had caught in the harbour, only used this as we had run out of rag
  4. The slipper limpet has been in poole since i was a lad (yes Jim that was ages ago) Go along sandbanks through to Hengistbury head after a good blow and you will see loads of them washed up on the beach. if they are a pest then probably a little late to do much about them down our way
  5. No they are definitely not the same although the man heading up propellor solutions is the same guy that ran propellor revolutions. His name is Tom and I think you will find he has moved away from repairing propellers to supply of new propellers and Propeller Deflectors http://propellersolutions.co.uk/ he is though still worth a call. Another company worth a go are http://www.darglow.co.uk/index.html Brian used to work with Tom
  6. Paul the heading you posted under is swap and shop so post/ask away

  15. Two policemen call the station on the radio. "Hello. Is that you Sarge?" "Yes?" "We have a case here. A woman with PMT has shot her husband for stepping on the floor she had just mopped clean." "Have you arrested the woman?" "No sir. The floor is still wet."
  16. As Brian says not much chance of getting on the kyarra especially on or near slack water. Most other wrecks close inshore will hold some small fish but because they are close in and fished by many they may not hold any of size or in quantity.
  17. Congrats on your new purchase Ben

  24. Woman: Do you drink beer? Man: Yes Woman: How many beers a day? Man: Usually about 3 Woman: How much do you pay per beer? Man: £3 Woman: And how long have you been drinking? Man: About 30 years, I suppose Woman: So a beer costs £3 and you have 3 beers a day which puts your spending each month at £270. In one year, it would be approximately £3,240 correct? Man: Correct Woman: If in 1 year you spend £3,240 not accounting for inflation, the past 30 years puts your spending at £97,200 correct? Man: Correct Woman: Do you know that if you didn't drink so much beer, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 30 years, you could have now bought a Ferrari? Man: Do you drink beer? Woman: No Man: Where's your Ferrari then?
