  1. Not me earning brownie points ready for the new arrival
  2. Happy birthday Lee (darvster) hope you had a good day
  3. Adam they can and that was what I really wanted however a boat that size cannot go in the racks so has to be floor based for which they told me they're full. I was offered a marina berth then put on the dry stack when/if a place becomes available. The thing I have been fretting about mostly is having twin shafts how they would manage to dry berth without causing damage. Not a lot of space left for forks and bunks. I have decided to try the Marina berth, if it doesn't work for me reconsider options next year.
  4. Ranking is based on the amount of posts you make. When you grow up you could become a Marlin Master
  5. Lol @ Nige last place on the planet I would take my new baby
  6. Well done all on many fronts. How lucky are we to have such a caring club with great ambassadeurs, Top job
  7. I just wish we had a similar facility in Poole I would be there like a shot however, an hours drive there and back is just a bridge to far
  8. Got a quote from Port of Poole apparently they think it's gold plated
  9. Hi Steve and welcome to the best boat angling club on the south coast and maybe the country Shetland family 4's are great boats and I'm sure we have another in the club. Look forward to seeing you at a meeting or on the water sometime
  10. No Rob and if there was not sure I would want it there what with the wash created by the nutters from the moor and the grockles clambering over boats to do their crabbing and all that entails. Just looked up the air draught of the new boat which is 4.3 metres
  11. Mike I think it's all mind sets. I am used to not worrying about timing as we have never had bridge or tide issues except on really mean springs and then only for less than an hour either side of low max. Should I go to Cobbs the bridges will be a constant annoyance but may be one I have to learn to deal with. This changing boat affair is fraught with life changing decisions
  12. Greg thank you for your input. The bridges are my only concern as the new boat would be reliant on bridge lifts. The only other option would be to go to Parkstone Bay or Poole Quay and to be honest these are not ideal either. Uum decisions
  13. Adam definitely not cheaper in fact around 1400 dearer than Cobbs for a pontoon berth
  14. If a competitor took that piccy and if the fishing area was the same as last year he was probably out of the fishing zone, nice photo though
  15. That looks like Fair Lady which is not a club boat
  16. Well done all good effort, just Sorry that Awol was not available this year but next year we will be there under a new guise
  17. Sling your hook oh and no good having my credit card as it's now empty
  18. Thanks for the report Allan and glad to hear you are making the most of your boat. Would you mind if I move this report into the general catch report section? that way none members can benefit from our forays
  19. B Pontoon did seem to be my favourite and after speaking to Dave he said we would all be pretty much together so B it will be. Have a beer for me Chris Mark Salterns want double the cost of Cobbs so I will put up with the bridges for now
  20. A question for Cobbs Quay Berth holders Ok so the new boat is hopefully on the way and I have kind of decided to put her on a marina pontoon berth. I have had a word with Cobbs Quay and asked which pontoon I would likely be on. I was told either A or B. Which in your opinion is the best?
  21. As I understand it from other sites the boat didn't hit the buoy until after it flipped so teh buoy did not cause the accident
  22. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/1294..._Southampton/# I can't explain Mal but as we don't know the details I don't feel we can comment either
  23. 'Rio Tinto' Keith, Nigel B and Dominic ( non club member)
  24. That is good news, pleased for you now just go and enjoy the boat.
