I had a tangle once on a cast many moons ago off Dartmouth. Water so clear I could see it for ages, was my reel, but mates rod. I also lost a rod and reel to tuna several weeks ago, not that went off like a train! Remember to loosen the drag as soon as you put rod in rod holder, lesson learnt. Also proves, they will take a wire trace! Anyone got a uglystik gx2 20/30 in good nick the way to pass on. And a daiwa Slosh / sloshX ? Need these so my pairs of rods/reels feng shui is restored. R

Cheers chaps, nice relaxing day at home for me today! R

There are/were a few sellers on eBay when I did mine. Often you can get the name of the supplier/seller and contact direct if you need something different. R

You won't be disappointed Jim, she is lovely! R

Yes indeed Charlie! Well, I didn't go last year!!!! R

With seeing an opening Friday am and fishing Sunday, it was all too short notice with plans And and I both had. So to squeeze it in was the only way, and that we did. Certainly won't forget tuna bigger than the dolphins being close enough to poke with a boat hook! Think I'll be early to bed tonight! R

Well it was one for the day and Ad picked the correct straw for first go. There was so much wildlife out there, dolphins, birds, whales spotted. And tuna, plenty of them, next to the boat, under the boat. The crew worked hard, swapping lures and size / colours if teasers. They could have not done more. We were also allowed to help, let lines out, bring them in, change our gear. All in all we were all part of the crew, as it should be as far as I am concerned. I've never used my binoculars so much! Great day, memories and can't wait to be back. I think I can speak for Steve and Adam in saying it was superb, game fishing in the UK. Oh and Dorset to Falmouth and back on a day with 11 hours on a boat, is a long day! Pics of Adam and his catch, plus the lure of the day! R

I've not been to the club meetings for a while, caught up with Steve S and Charlie C. Talk turned to big game in the West Country. Discussion about Autumn 2022. Suddenly brought forward Friday, and today Steve S, AdamF and myself are out looking for tuna. So much life out here, 1 dropped lure and one to the side of the boat,..........so far! Great experience none the less, but we'd like one each! R

Good effort, what a treat for them to only have 2 anglers onboard. R

Well, they were thick on cornwall in sept and mid Oct. Bait touched bottom for 2 seconds and we were hooked up. Mind you, 10 - 1 small to keeper ratio. R

Enjoy Pete! R

You are not wrong Jim, I did see the new “lock the door Alexa” advert and wondered why we need to power / put electronics in everything. More to break and hit landfill. R

Enjoy chaps!

On another note, if you have Amazon Prime membership for free shipping and some TV services. Also included is free unlimited photo storage. So get the app and upload away, all stored off-site should the worst happen for free.

Or get a NAS - Network attached storage. I have a Synology Nas, it plugs in to router and you be accessed from any machine on network / WiFi. Runs my surveillance camera software too. Has a app so you can see the files when out of the house also. Which, isn't used often, but great when required. You want to go wrong with Synology. Buy big so that you have have the disks mirrored. This means you have 2 copies of your data on it, meaning if one drive inside goes pop, you still have a copy, slot in a new one and it rebuilds it automatically. R

We have stayed in the harbour rentals and used the pontoons, camped and just used the slip, stayed St Mawes and launched at St Just and the only other that was was Mullion when wind was from the East. What is also nice is the north coast is only 30/60 mins away too. R

I know what you mean, got myself new wheels this year as last ones looked a bit ropey. Shot blasted, zinced and then powercoated. Hope they last quite a bit longer!!! R

You should have mentioned earlier, we saw him at the marina on Saturday. I think a few are using the new DJI action cameras. R

No, as was 3 weeks in-between and we didn't see that good weather coming, towing her doesn't slow us down by much as she is so small and light. Mind you, I do loose a handful of mpg! R
