  4. Like the cormorants, if there were plenty of well managed fish populations in the sea.........
  5. Welcome. Maybe try a few members boats before you buy. Especially If you are having to trail as trailing something a bit bigger could be much more sea worthy and flexible. I have a 4.85m Terhi and can launch / use single handed and head over to the Isle of Wight. Check out the Terhi 6020C which is only 200kgs and runs great with a 20 / 25hp motor. Stable and nice high freeboard (I have the BigFun 300kgs which takes up to 60hp). Rob
  6. Boom boom! Nice one Steve!

    Oh why oh why.....

If I can get to one I will, but it isn't close to my location and I head back tomorrow! Rob

Mind you the hire car I have has given some good Redneck fun to the trip! I assumed they all drive these but I had my arm twisted to take some colleagues out for a spin!
  9. Isn't Asda full of boating and fishing gear!!!!!!!! Just been to Walmart near Bridgewater New Jersey: Back to work in the morning, in 20 degrees and bugs the size of you hand trying to get you as you walk across the carpark! R
  10. Happy birthday Bob & Alun! Rob

Blimey! That's good news, were you hauling the anchor with it?
  12. I used to buy the Quicksilver equivalent when I had a smoker, used to get it from the Johnson dealer near the bridge at Christchurch. R

    Lowrance Ethernet Cable

Thanks Al but I think I need 7ft!!! Bob has got one (he had just listed it on EBay and now taken it off!). Timing is everything, Rob
  14. All is am after a 15ft Lowrance Ethernet cable - it is the one with the yellow connectors on the end. Does anyone have one available? Thanks, Rob
  15. Trev, just for info, being an Orkney, presumably the trailer will need keel rollers? Rob
  16. Some times over less harsh ground no know needed as you can tie straight to swivel and then hook length. Not sure of the knot name I use, but be interested in Charlie Chapman's - are you able to find on't tinterweb? Rob
  17. Head to the med, F1-2, but a foot of swell today. Beer is cold, but this damn sand gets everywhere!! Rob

    Sam, you Old Devil.

    Happy birthday Sam
  20. I am sure there might be a trailer out there if you need to borrow one. But a tow is good, just slower I guess but more fishing opportunity. Get your drift right and you can do southbourne rough, drift the piers then the swash!!!
  21. Great result, well done! Rob
  22. Enjoy Martin!

    COOL BOX

I think the igloo range are a good compromise between built quality / weight , ability to keep the catch cold and price. Also, with not so chunky build they are smaller than the equivalent icytek! Rob
  24. PJ, I think Graham's would be well above the legal 750kg towing limit for unbraked trailers. Rob
  25. No chance to move the axle forward or is the boat fitting flush at the stern? R
