Indeed - come on Greg, like you say, no one likes to see a tiger caged up! Or an Osprey! Let her rip, maybe some keen crew in the Club would help you bring her round to Poole again, or maybe to leave from Portsmouth? Rob

    Stolen Engines

A discount / refund from the boat yard whilst you are out of action would be generous! They still have wages to pay etc etc. Maybe a reduction in fees whilst your LOA is reduced!!! (Sorry about that!!) You would only get expense for "boat hire" should you produce a receipt, but your time and storage costs during settlement wouldn't be unheard of, as Trev says. Fingers crossed, Rob

We tried for toothy critters on Alfresco last year but didn't get a sniff! I think in the last couple of years they have been hit and miss around the island, of course Mark for AA will advise best he can.
  16. Neil at Bournemouth Fishing Lodge 01202 514 345 has a couple of pound left - be quick he advised - you can call him and book it - if you do - please advise you saw this post on our forum! Cheers, Rob

I saw the 2011 thread for Alderney the other day and it is 17 pages long! The 2012 trip has 2 threads of 8 and 14 pages! Not that this is a highlight to many peoples fishing year!!! Be great to have some new boats and members come along. Now where did I put my Weaver fish livebait rig?

Dare I suggest that people ALSO book off the 18th-21st May off work too, as this is the backup date (For JV anyway, due to Adam's commitments). We loose so many boats that intend to go if the date shifts to the reserve date! (We do tend to use the reserve date often!). Otherwise you might end up sat at home reading reports that coudl have been yours! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Rob

You're right Nige - I like the tiddlers! I am just recalling my catches from a couple of year ago:
  24. A family friend fishes regularly on the Redfinn out of Xchurch. I will make contact and ask his opinion (he himself has owned a few boats) if I can find an email address! Rob

Nige- that is great when there is loads of weed and it stops it getting to the top eye, but I like the security of having some heavy line with a few wraps round the spool with a big fish at the side if the boat! Rob
