Indeed pockets of well populated and varied species can not be bad, so what if it disrupts angling in the short term, people need to put on the binoculars and take off the reading glasses!

Don't believe the bouyage 100%!
High pressure can also make a difference.
If the water is low, as said, you can drift out. Coming in without much water can be difficult/impossible as you have to fight against the flow of Avon and Stour!

Stugeron for me if it is going to be very wobbly and tying rigs etc - taking them on the boat is too late, i take them at home \ 30 mins before launch.
Most of the time not needed especially if drift fishing etc.

Indeed, go big and leave slightly loose - esp if you have a swinging cradle at the back of the trailer as that gives the trailer flex and you don't want the boat resisting that flex..............or you might need a new one, again!!!!!!
