  5. Adam, you can get waterproof sticky backed A4 polyester paper that you put through a laser printer. That should do the job. Rob http://www.labelplanet.co.uk/waterproof-wh...aser-labels.php http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-x-A4-PVC-Vinyl-La...emZ150325012095

    Insurance limits

Can't you just tuck those flares away on the sly if you get in to an issue with the French authorities? Any how - if they take you to Cherbourg I expect you will find the fishermen and farmers blocking the port!! R

    Pirks.....

Yep - it hardly needs polishing! I'll bring it on Thursday - all I have done is given it a little polish with brasso. And it would have been better if cleaned correctly first as my fingerprint can be seen in the finished product! Rob

    Pirks.....

Trev, Isn't chrome plating REALLY nasty to do? carsonagenic etc.... Or can you use substitue chemicals now? I think that is why there is a Nickel plating system at work - it is fairly harmless, but you would wnat to drink the fluid!!! Rob

    Pirks.....

Guys, I am making some small (3 or 4oz) pirks for use as the weight when feathering. How useful would it be to make bigger ones for inshore fishing? Thoughts please? Should I attach a jelly worm or muppet etc? Hook will obviously be included!! Rob (OK you'v sussed it, it is a Nickel plated piece of 15 mm copper filed with lead!!!!)

    Lead weight moulds

Will, Paul is correct - I have finanlly managed to put a collection together and tried a couple of ways to mark the club ones so they don't get mixed up when they are on loan. How quickly do you need them? I hope to have the finished by next weekend. I have also tested them all!!! Let me know your timescales and I will sort them out for you. Rob

  20. Alex, If you spend time out on the ledge you will see boats drifting for bass - small private boats, charter boats a-like. You will pick up bass in locations that people drift and also in places where you just have a go. You have to be in it to win it!! I have drifted marks in my boat yards behind or infront of other club boats and one boat may get fish and the other not! Even two people in the same boat can yield amazingly different results! Time + patience + time + luck + a little technique!! = Bass! Se you out there Rob
  21. Here is the comp schedule in Tab Seperated Values (windows) - can be imported in to Outllok calendar etc - yes I know I am sad!!! Not sure if you will be able to download a text file - Paul D can you help? If you want a copy please ask and I will email it to you. Rob
  22. Adam, I have found Daiwa very good on the spares front. A couple of years ago I had a Dawia fixed spool beach reel which had a problem with the cam that sits on the main cog. I called them but it was 8 years old and not a current model! Having then worked out the part number they searched and the same part was used in a current model! Bingo - reel fixed for about
  23. That is a serious amout of kit! Be on Ebay no doubt - tell him to look out for it on there! There was a story I heard that a guy had his tent stolen from his shed\garage, went on Ebay to look for another one and found his! His nextdoor neighbour was arrested!!! Rob
  24. So is this a conspiracy? Chairman is down, Trail Away Office - who next? FIsh Recorder or Treasurer? Get well soon Gordon and may the rest of the committee take it easy and keep one eye open whilst asleep! Rob
