  2. Sold Sold Sold If anyone is interested in a 1998 (S) Peugeot 406 2.0 Petrol Turbo Executive Estate? It is blue and big! + really comfortable. It has 119k and had a new turbo summer 2006 Been in the family since 2000 I think (was my Dad's). Full leather with memory seats and wing mirrors, so no messing around when the wife borrows it! Climate control, Auto Wipers, 6-cd changer, Alloys, towbar etc I hope to have some pics tomorrow. Tidy condition overall, small dent on bonnet (don't ask!!) Selling due to company car allowance Asking

    Recycle...

This all stemed from when I repaired some maccy feather shiny bits with some strips of Doritos (cheese) packet strips! Alun found them quite amusing. Therefore I thought I would make a BIGGER version for the cod. I made a couple with a foil based NicNak packet (Scampi and lemon) and these looked good and then thinking that brittle stars were bright yellow (though now I know they are more dull orange\brown) what could I use that was yellow and tough! Argh - old gardening marigolds in the garage - hey presto! And yes after one of my lure being destroyed by a cod I had just eaten a crunchie and proceed to catch on it! (be careful of you do this yourself as some wrappers may contain nuts!). I will get some pics of the lures on the site so you guys can make your own!!! Would liek to say that they attracted a better stamp of fish and left Alun and Mike to catch the throw backs! Also after the tide really picked up I changed to a low drag rubber worm and had nothing! 1 foot of 8mm Fuel Pipe

Not sorted any longer - I went to fit it and it is 3/8 which is 10mm. Pete, thanks, that would be good but aren't you quite far from Bournemouth\Poole? Any one with an offcut of 8mm or 5/16 that would be great. Rob

    Silent / quiet pump?

Adam, I am using a Rule livebait well pump which has a through hull pickup attahced instead of the usual base. I have then attached a connector to attache hose as I am not using it through the hull. Effectivley it is in-line.
  22. I made a last minute call to head out today as I have not had JoJo out seriously fishing for some months. I headed to Mudeford single handed meeting Les with Manatee enroute at the petrol station. I had forgotten how much longer it takes to launch etc when on own! The sea state was horrible, nasty swell and 9kn + of westerley wind. I met up with Manatee looking for mackerell but there were failry patchy and a little thin on the ground (unless they are hiding in a new spot?). I managed half a dozen great bait sized Joeys and a couple of eaters and headed to the ledge. First drift nothing so chnaged completely to an interesting feature on the chart - bang fish on - the bait runner went off! A nice plump nearly 4lb bass in the net! My first ever on a livey! I found that using a drogue I could slow the drift slightly and keep the boat much straighter, just got to remember to bring it in before moving off!!! Half a dozen drifts later with nothing more and I headed in, back in time for lunch and to before the rain. Yesterday I plumbed in a permanent live bait pump through and exixting skin fitting and all seemed to work very well and in much neater than previous solution. Cheers Rob

    Battery Problems

Neal, I presume that you switch the battery switch to the second battery to ON once the engine has started, thus allowing it to charge? Sometimes there can be a 50 amp fuse to stop the engine cranking off the secondary\leisure battery - might be worth seeing if this has blown. Rob
