    Caravan insurance

I know the wheels are more central that our boat trailers (axel further back is more stable), but we don't half have a big weight hanging out the back. Food for thought and I keep my anchor and chain well up the bow and any heaving bags etc over the wheels. R

    What 3 words

I'd seen this quote a while ago but never had a use for it, although it cropped up on Sunday when I was fishing at index.banks.edge! Nice idea until you have to spell it phonetically but clever idea and they only needed some 40,000 words in combo to cover the globe R

    Fish Heads

Be nice, but not sure those beach guys carry ice so I'd rather know how it has been kept. Made a delicious Bass teriyaki last night (the fresh ginger makes it!): https://www.kikkoman.co.uk/recipes/all/wok-fried-teriyaki-sea-bass/ Rob

    Fish Heads

Now, I'm not one for wasting bait or potential bait. However, I have a freezer full of minced fish, heads and muck for rubby dubby. Not needing anymore and having a surplus of mackerel a number of weeks ago I posted on a local Facebook group that I had 20 fresh mackerel heads and guts if anybody could make use of them. When prepping macs for eating I cut behind the head through the spine and then along to anal fin, this is quick and clean leaving the body of meat and guts/belly flap still attached to the head. Well, I could have got rid of these heads 5 times over. First to answers was a local beach angler, and not having access to fresh macs easily from the shore he was please for a bag of bass baits. I was glad not to fill the food waste bin with fish. Anyway, Sam is my go to Mac head guy, he has been a few times now and usually I am out when he is passing, I leave by the gate and when I get home they are gone. Today I had 4 from yesterday and I finally met him. Nice chap, as you can imagine we talked fishing for a bit and he was on his way. This is a great way to recycle fish baits and reduce waste, plus saves the beach guys spending £2.50 on a couple of macs. Win win as far as I am concerned and I will hopefully be supplying him with more over the coming weeks. Just a thought if any of you guys have waste fish, one man's waste is another man's bait. Rob
  21. Well, JV headed south and rendezvoused with Silver Spray on a mark for mackerel, we ran out almost alongside with SS heading slightly more east. With baits in the tank, hopes were high. We had many drifts over the days on the same set of banks, and at least a fish a drift. We couldn't restock the bait tank quickly enough. The macs were like bass sweets. Many a triple hook up was had and what a cracking day. We must have had 40+ fish. Nothing of any size, Ian can confirm but his biggest might have been 4lb 6oz. We seems to have hit a year class as most of them were like peas in a pod, around 2.5lb. Smaller than last time we visited but more prolific. Silver Spay paid us a visit for the last drift (over 3.knts), not sure what day they had and whether they had been searching around for fish or just big fish. Great day, bass and macs for dinner, great lunch (thanks Ian) and super company. Rob
  22. JV Saturday Iain, Adam, Alun, Rob
  23. Too far out for JoJo Charlie? Rob [emoji3]
  24. My guess is air in fuel line. Maybe getting in on a connector? Water separator etc. Or dirt blocking the pickup. I had a bent pickup tube once inside the tank, it was restricting the fuel pickup when in a slop or full revs. Really hard to finds, esp as tank was full and it was seeming like air entering the fuel lines.
