  1. Thanks to all that fished, weather was good and seas forgiving. BbQ was ace and a good location. Thanks to those who helped. I hope to get the results breakdown up tomorrow. Rob

Depends, these were the worse things i coudl find mind you! the blue pliers were for use in the garden and were "recovered" from outside! The knives, though sharp, live on the boat in their sheaths, so on a was down i guess i should take them out - or every 5 yrs dip them in Detox-C. R

A few other highlights from the water based dipping solution, I'm finding it hard to stop!:

Bits that couldn't be dunked got 2 coats of paint on rust converter and the a 2 part epoxy paint. Even the bits that were stripped in the water based solution got a coat of rust converter, that turns them dark / black and creates a barrier on the surface.

After Dartmouth i had a failing brake on the trailer. The lining had come away from the shoe. I got the kit needed delivered and set to work. Having taken the drums apart i felt i needed to clean them up a bit. Various BiltHamber products were bought.
  15. Well, JVs tender motor is now sorted. Couple of new gaskets, anode and fuel filter. Plus cracked handle repair. Started within a couple of pulls after assembly. Tonight is have set the tickover and run it up for 40 mins. It now starts with a single pull as i would expect it to. Quick repair to the inside of the cowling and all is good to return it to its owner. The colour of the fuel filter suggests it hadn't been changed from the "service" it had. The amount of crud taken from the fuel tank was caught in my red Coleman fuel filter. Photo of the handle and cowling repair.
  16. You will need 2 in the boat to enter a comp - safety un all (the other person does not have to be a club member). hint hint:

  18. Enoy!
  19. No problemo! Being a Poole based club, our waters are from Portland Bill and At Catherine's. North to the mainland and south to the coast of France. Good luck in the comp. Rob
  20. Straight up from at Catherine's, catches the end of Calshot spit and is to the west of the Hamble.
  21. You'll need to be in the western Solent for you catch to count!
  22. Well.......best specimen over the 3 dates - not necessarily 1st, 2nd & 3rd (depends on prizes I have etc). Indeed, species comp is their best score the junior fishes not total, hence, Jayden is on an equal footing fishing just once. R
