wow what a crew, - didn't we do well Rob many thanks for crewing for me , you can come again we had a brilliant weekend, the gods were with us slow and steady paid off with some good fish, Robs Plaice and my Brill and were the main event many thanks to Charlie Chapman for organising the event and the restaurant afterwards and so nice to get 8 club boats and crew in one place with the ladies arriving by car later, after having a girlie lunch in town followed by some shopping. the venue was excellent, evening meal very good and the company was unique. it is so good to get opportunities to meet other members and families in the social situation. we had an intersting trip back with Boblin in our wake, but after St Albans Head it was all down hill with massive swell until we hit Ballard. Congratulationd to Abode 2 for the Bass pulled out of the boiling waters off purbeck. All eventually returned to Poole safe and sound for a Turbot supper. Have many pics of the weekend but need Martin to post for me Do not forget the family day on Sunday 25th July, we will probably be at Studland weather permitting. I will take the BBQ again. Hi Hunter I had a cable steering on my previous boat which worked well until it seemed to start seizing i tried lubricating it from both ends but with little effect. Eventually the thing broke when I was trying to pull my anchor about 6 miles out. I suggest you consider replacing it now incase it is on its last legs. Best wishes Tony
