    VHF / DSC Radio

Hi Bob I like the Navman, did not go for the colour due to price. Both do same job but the colour version looks pritty but when you zoom in the colour is all the same. Buttons feel ok to me but I have only played with the unit on the home table so far, hope to install it next week-end. A friend has one and has got him home on the nail in some dense sea fog, thats enough for me in those conditions. The stand footprint is small which is a good thing as there is not much room on the console of a Warrior with a GPS, Fish finder and now plotter! Ordered a fishfinder from JG Technologies in Weymouth, woth checking their web site, been told if you go to the shop you can get a better deal as no postage is involved. http://www.jgtech.co.uk/index.htm Navman Service Centrer is at Hamilton Business Park, Bailey Road, Hedge End, Southampton SO30 2HE Hope this helps

    Nylon Rollers

Hi all I fitted nylon rollers to my trailer when I had a Seahog but only to the last 3 rollers. The rest I kept in rubber. It was a simple job of launching in fact it just slid into the water with a slight push if the slip gradiant wa not too steep so you had to keep a rope on the boat at all times in case it got away from you. I did not suffer any hull cracking problems but the trailer did have bunks and not outside rollers so perhaps they helped. Crayside Marine sell the nylon rollers but if they are not a standard size they do become very exspensive. You do need a good tie down strap with these rollers.

  4. Hi All I too am thinking of adding a keel band but looking to use brass half round strip as it is easier to bend, drill and replace if needed. It also acts as a bit of a buffer if you hit anything! Like the rest of the tips, thanks
