    O/B fuel line

Hi Saw on a web site that you can get "bow" shaped fuel tanks in plastic, so mounting the tank in the front is not such a crazy idea. Most outboards have a pump arrangement, maybe worth an email to the engine manufacture to see what the maximum lifting capacity it has. Regards Codfather
  3. Hi Adam I can recommend one of these tanks and it fits in the bilge area http://marinestore.co.uk/Merchant2/merchan..._Code=fueltanks model Val 6 at
  4. Oh! Do I detect a touch of bitchyness? My fishing buddy went to the Northern part and was told the best fishing was in the South of the Island all year round. The North gets good in their summer months. Just my two cents worth Codfather

    S/S Mobile Welding

Hi Adam I hope you have plenty of time on hand to try to thread the coax through the s/s bridge, unless you use cable ties like the rest of us tarts! Regards Codfather ps The GPS and Plotter will have different position readings, which to use? That is the question!

    Trailer Bearings

Hi all I tried to take the brake drums off my Roller Coaster 3 trailer without success It has these 'bearing super savers' with long tubes out of the hubs. To gain access to the split pin you have to remove the tubes but HOW? Do they unscrew or tap out, tried both (gently) without success! Anyone out there who has done it? Thanks Codfather
  7. [quote Any one with experiance of Cuba? I'm off there in October.] Friend of mine went out in February, could not get out due to tale end of Hurricane He said Southern part of Cuba is best area for fishing. Roger Bayzand is the person to chat too. Hope it is as good as they show on the TV Codfather

    Propeller sizes

Ok Why is a stainless prop more efficent than a aliminium prop? The cost difference is huge so is it worth it? Codfather
  9. Hi Adam JG Technologies at Weymouth are selling Blue Charts for Small
  10. Hi If you are stuck for a bung on a Warrior use one out of the fish wells at the back, they are all the same. Forgot mine the other week, fortunately my crewman was holding the boat on the shore with the bilge pump running until I got back from parking the car and trailer! Still got a wet sleeve however Cod
  11. Hi all Just read that x2 bream @ 4lb were caught on Boulder in the Solent this week-end and Smoothies have just started to show. Maybe a little early still for both but they are on their way Shame I have to go overseas for work for 3 weeks just as it all starts As long as you put back the big ones it will give me a chance to re-catch them in May Regards Cod

    Tyre PSI

Hi Adam Can I sugget you check the maximum pressure on the tyre wall I have 165 x 13 tyres with maximum rating of 50psi I am using 40 psi and found it gives a better ride than the suggetsed 36psi Remember the extra weight of all that fishing gear, anchor, leads, petrol etc. etc. It does not take long to add loads of weight. Regards Codfather
  13. Hi Bob A quick chat to the Citizen Advice or even better Trading Standards often works miracles. Trading Standards have the teeth to get action if you push them to write. Good Luck Regards Cod
  14. Hi Found this on Weymouth Harbour site Permanent twin berths are available now for craft under 6 metres. Ring the harbour office on 838379 for details and an application form. There are waiting lists for all other categories of berth. Hope it helps Regards Cod
  15. Hi all I wish you all good luck on your trip I just wish I could be there too. I checked weather site and at this time it looks like the wind is going to be a F2 WNW but increasing during the day but it is a bit advance to predict just yet. If you need some marks I can send you some, not tried them all but I was given some of them by a local. Any shore fishing, go to Portland just beside Pulpit Rock for Wrasse, Conger, Pollock and possibly Bass. Be prepare to loose tackle however. A mate got a 6lb Ballen the other week from there and is still fishing well. Have fun and Adam don't forget to fit the transom drain bung in, I forgot to do this for the first time 2 weeks ago They fall out very easily bee warned but you can always use one from the baitwell tanks. Regards Cod

Hi Adam She looks great, I know what you mean about the grin you get just looking at her Went out in mine on Saturday, Coastguard reported wind strength F5 increasing to F6 or F7!! Huge swells near harbour entrance but she coped very well as long as you took it steady They are a superb boat and I am sure you will have many great hours on her ......just need the fish now! Have fun and enjoy Cod
  17. Hi Only a small point but just noticed that the web site shows the time as GMT, didn't want anyone turning up to work an hour late!!!! That would never do Regards Cod

    Cobbs Quay

Adam I would be interested how much they charge for a service. I don't need one yet but need to start saving up! Looking inside the cowl, apart from checking the oil level the rest is a plug in computer job. Cod

    FINALY!!!!

Hi Adam I have been told by the "FPO" that she has plans for me over Easter! Fishing is not an option! "This is an ideal time to work around the house" and other messages! So as I am fishing in the IAC (Internet Fishing Club) Fish In at Hayling Island over the WHOLE bank holiday week-end at the end of May, I think it's only prudent to obey the one who issues passes. (at least for a while ) I would love to come down one week-end during May and join you all for a trip out, I have no marks but looking at the chart there seem some interesting places to try. Look forward to seeing a picture on the web page when you get "Blue Warrior" home. I wish I could see your grin when you first take her out. If it was anthing like mine it stays with you for days until you go out again and again Cod
  22. Hi all Went to Hayling Island Saturday, was going to launch from the Ferry Inn on Hayling Island. It is almost opposite the Eastney slip. DO NOT GO THERE YET!!!!! The top of the slip is covered in shingle and weed. A 4x4 should be ok but a car will get stuck! It would only need a JCB with a bucket to clear it in a few minutes Be warned, Suspect Eastney should be ok as they try to keep it clear Regards Cod

    FINALY!!!!

Well done Adam Glad to see you got her all checked out ok We will have o meet up sometime to compare boats/notes Regards Cod
  24. Hi all Got out from Chichester harbour Saturday. Only got one Ballan Wrasse and a tiny pout, everyone else were catching doggies! Hope you had a better time on Sunday Cod
  25. Hi, You need to be careful when adding hatches to boats as a friend had a safety inspection carried out on his boat and had to reverse the opening to prevent water entering straight into the boat. SAFETY HAZZARD!! A backward opening hatch is not a lot of use for anchoring I know!! If you have a small boat you might get away with it but it will need to be VERY watertight! Cod
