Hi all As some might know I have got a bit of a fuel leak which I am trying to sort out, now I have twin fuel tanks one each side of the boat which are joined to gether by a hose and a drain tap in the middle, my question is should I fit one shut off valve between the tanks, fit two shut off valves with a drain off valve or leave it whole so it balances out, fuel level wise? Any thoughts for the best method would be appreciated. Coddy

Just a thought, the water inlet on the exhaust elbow can get restricted by the salt water, could be that it is not passing enough water into the exhaust system to keep it cool. I can keep my hand on the exhaust pipe without it getting burnt, it should not exceed 90 degrees C. Most high exhaust temp warnings are set for this maximum limit. Coddy

Hi Gordon Sorry to hear of the problems, however I know what you mean when you "have one of those days!" Your flushing kit results sound very good and I was wondering if you could send me a report with pictures so I could add to my web site, all attributed to you of course. Regards Coddy

Thanks Pete I have a multi tool which is useful but I was looking for seperate tools. Did see the Cdet models but did not like the idea of the spring holding them open. Agreed the price is !*!*!* Didn't think of E-bay so will have a good search. Thanks again Coddy

Hi Darrell Welcome to the forum Would love to have a chat with you sometime about Volvo leg's. Have a similar one to you by the looks of it, mine is a AP275. What size prop have you managed to work it out to? I am running a 15x19 but I think this is too high and was thinking along the 15x17 or 15x15 to allow the revs to get up. I am running a Ford 2.5ltr desiel turbo. To get back to the thread, if you want to have a look at the Eltrim Trim tabs on my boat give me a shout. Coddy

Have a look at Trickett Marine's web site, they are local and their trim tams are really good, I have them on my boat. http://www.trickettmarineproducts.co.uk/trimtabs.html They get my boat on the plane ok Coddy

Hi Well it is only 4 weeks to Christmas and thought it might be a good idea to start a thread with a wish list of suggested/like presents for us fisher persons and boat owners. You could include a link if you have something specific in mine so you can point those who might be interested onto the forum and get the information. At least it is better that looking out of the window at all the cr*p weather at the week-ends! You never know Santa might even bring you what you want this year! Coddy

Hi Mike I too am using Crusier Uno and can see a little bit that has worn off due to sitting on the mud every tide. I think I will be using a harder version in the spring. I used Trilux on the leg and it seems to stand up well so far, they do say spray on props and legs is best. Would have thought Trilux would work ok on your P bracket and cutlass bearing and prop if needs be. Also read that black is the best colour to use in Holes Bay to minimise growth Might be worth looking at this site http://www.shepherdmarine.com/index.php they use this paint on the big tankers and such! Please be aware that not all Knott brakes have detachable ends. To identify your model check here for cables http://www.western-towing.co.uk/acatalog/B..._Cables_ID.html For an exploded view of Knott brakes http://www.western-towing.co.uk/acatalog/K...ts_Diagram.html For AL-KO brakes go here http://www.western-towing.co.uk/acatalog/A...ts_Diagram.html This site does provide all you need at good prices http://www.western-towing.co.uk/acatalog/ Coddy
