  5. Hi all The single lever morse control slowly creeps back so slows the engine, is there a friction nut/screw I can adjust to stop this? I have never taken one of these apart so any help with diagrams or pictures would be great. In fact where do you start to take apart? Thanks in advance Coddy

  9. Tom, I can understand your thoughts, however; Sadly I think the numbers who joined or continued to be a member of the NFSA have been declining for years and those who did belong felt that they were not the body that was good at representing the average sea angler and so left. The problem now, as I see it, is that sea anglers have become a suspicious lot and want to see what the Angling Trust will do for them before parting with money. I can understand this, however if the numbers joining are low so will be the support from the Trust, so for once I would suggest that if as many sea anglers as possible joined the Trust their money would provide a good fighting fund which will be needed. I am one who left the NFSA but will join the Trust to see what they can offer me as a sea angler. If they fail to impress then I may make my feelings known by not re-joining but I am willing to give them a chance. It is easy to complain and criticise if one does not belong, but if you have paid a stake in something you want your money's worth or you vote with your feet! So I would agree with Martyn (Osprey) and help give the new Angling Trust our full support. (off soap box now) Coddy If you want to look at the angling trust's web site click here http://www.anglingtrust.net/default.asp

  13. I have been trying to open an account with Corrals for 9 months now! I have completed two forms and supplied confirmation of my home address and still not heard anything!! There customer service leaves a lot to be desired and it seems there is only one person who deals with accounts, she is often on holiday. Emails and phone calls all seem to be ignored. Is it me? 19. Hope this helps some, I purchased some fuel hose at a good price from Pirtek earlier this week. Found them to be really helpful and even supplied me a mug of coffee. Came up with a number of solutions to seal fuel valves etc. They also will make any fitting in their premises and have loads of differant fixes and fittings in stock. They are also about to become a Vetus distributor and will get anything you require very quickly. Oh, they are on the Nuffield Industrial Estate in Poole if you want to find them. (Martin, might be worth an approach to see if they will be a sponser for the club's open event) Hope it helps Coddy

  21. Hi Dan If you fancy Scotland after the common skate there are a number of charters who operate in the area. I would choose someone like Ian Burrett, have a look on his web site http://www.onyermarks.co.uk/ Skate fishing can be long waits and not always getting amoungst the fish. However with Ian's fleet he can launch from a number of venues and get into fish with a number of species. The hospitality is superb up there and with the long evenings many people take a beach rod and fish into the night. I would suggest to fly up to Glasgow and take a hire car to the North West. With 4 of you it may be the cheaper option. Another web site worth reading is Davy Holt's who must be the most knowlageable person on the Common Skate http://www.catchalot.co.uk/index.htm he also has some charter boat suggestions on his web page. I am sure you would have a great time where ever you go, but at least in Scotland it is not too far to bring back some fillets. Coddy

    American History

Explain this guys: History Mystery Have a history teacher explain this----- if they can. Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846. John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946. Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960. Both were particularly concerned with civil rights. Both wives lost their children while living in the White House. Both Presidents were shot on a Friday. Both Presidents were shot in the head Now it gets really weird. Lincoln 's secretary was named Kennedy. Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln . Both were assassinated by Southerners. Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson. Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln , was born in 1808. Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908. John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln , was born in 1839. Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939. Both assassins were known by their three names. Both names are composed of fifteen letters. Now hang on to your seat. Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.' Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln ' made by 'Ford.' Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse. Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater. Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials. And here's the kicker... A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe , Maryland A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe. Creepy huh? Coddy

    Twin fuel tanks

Thanks Charlie for the info Been working on the boat for the last couple of days and I think I have found the leak. The fuel return feed hose to the tank had a bulge and looked like it was leaking but it involved removing the Port tank which also involved a bit of wood work modifications to get it out. I also managed to measure the tank so I now know approx how much it holds in fuel, so I will be able to work out fuel consumption better. Just got to replace the balance pipe and fit a valve between them, then it is a wood work rebuild and then start on the other side to replace the other end of the balance pipe. Oh well what else could I be doing? ..................... what is a fish? what is it like to have your line tugged? Owning a boat is great fun! Happy New Year all Coddy
