  1. Could be Flounder, the number of boats you see floundering about at the slipways. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Hope it's nothing too serious or expensive. Shows what a great club it is.

    Doggy lifejackets

My son-law got one at the Southampton Boat Show.
  4. Happy Birthday to you both.
  5. I'll probably wait until the Southampton Boat Show, see what sort of deal I can get.
  6. The only thing I can see in their Bargain Basement is a Garmin GPS Antenna.
  7. I've got a Lowrance HDS-5 Gen 2, on MegaByte. I don't like having to keep switching from Plotter screen to Sonar screen (I find it too small in split screen). I want to buy another unit so I can run one as a plotter and one as a sonar, thinking about a second HDS-5, then I'll have complete backup. What would you buy and why? P.S. Don't make it too expensive, just bought Di a new car.
  8. Johnny, you going to be able to make the club meeting?
  9. Woose I kept a boat at Wareham for years, before even Decca Navigators were available for small boats let alone GPS. The channels are clearly marked now. Once you get near to the river, the channel is marked with stakes, keep closer to the middle of the channel than to the stakes, they are at the top of the bank and don't be tempted to cut corners. I've pulled many boats off the mud because they took a straight line from stake to stake. Take a look at Google Earth, it shows the mouth of the river at low tide.

  11. Tony You on commission from the opticians? I thought my eyes had gone funny.
  12. If there are enough interested in doing the VHF course, Dave might arrange a club booking. My son-in-law (MarkO) needs to do it, if he can ever find the time.
  13. Hi Johnny When are you coming down? Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk 2

  15. This shows how the legs are fitted.

I can't take any credit. Rob and Charlie did the work.
  17. Yes, that's them, £4.99 each.
  18. . There are drain holes in the rear corners Used off cuts from the cutting boards and turned up 6 collars these are screwed to the table in two stacks of 3, the legs (40mm waste pipe) are a push fit into them. The legs are removed for storage.
  19. Bait table was too low and gave me backache when I used it. I decided it was time for a new one, bought two cutting boards from Makro and here's the finished article.
  20. Important thing (plasticine or silicone etc) is to ensure there are no air bubbles in it.
  21. I had similar problems with my HDS 5. I moved the transducer into the bilge and bonded it with silicone, not perfect but much better. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk 2

    The prize table.
  23. It might just be me, but I can't see what time the weigh in is.

    SMART TABS

I'll try the boat without tabs first, to see if they're worth replacing.

    SMART TABS

I'll give the new ones a coat of hammerite and then make sure I seal them well. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk 2
